He answered my questions thoughtfully and made sure I understood my options. He also kept the atmosphere light and reassuring, which I genuinely appreciated given the circumstances. “I AM BLOWN AWAY. I was very sensitive to being pushed surgery from an office with so many doctors it can feel like a cattle call, but THIS DOCTOR IS INCREDIBLE. Genuinely grateful to him and hope you decide to try him. He is NOT pushing surgery or treatments. He’s such an amazing guy. I wish I could give more than 5 stars.”

seen last in 2023 for back ache - then and now

I waited an hour to get a poor evaluation. He came in with a predetermined diagnosis or plan for treatment and I was gone in 5min. He didn't ask for my history with the injury and he wanted more physical therapy when I told him I had been in physical therapy for months so his solution was just medication. He condescended to me about my misunderstanding of where the hips were located on the body. You're the doctor and I'm paying you to provide a service, not to give me an anatomy lesson. He also had a person walk in after him with a laptop who never introduced themself and had zero interest in speaking to me however she was just hovering and I guess I was supposed to just be ok with it. The doctor didn't even introduce her. So yeah, a stranger was just in the room while I was getting poorly evaluated. I have a lump on my back and I told him about it but he didn't seem interested in feeling it or how much pain and discomfort it was causing.

I found this doctor to be rude and unhelpful. He made repeated jokes about a rash I have on my back due to heating pad overuse, an issue i am already aware of and self conscious about (not to mention I am seeing a spine doctor to hopefully alleviate the pain that is leading me to use my heating pad so much). He compared me to a cooked turkey multiple times which he seemed to think was funny but I did not appreciate. On top of that he refused to order an MRI for my disc issues. He essentially diagnosed me with disc degeneration via x ray, told me to never lift weights or play sports again, prescribed me prednisone and tossed me out in less than 10 minutes (5 of which were probably spent making fun of my rash). He gave little to no advice on how to improve my condition other than to essentially stop working out. I am getting a second opinion on the advice of my physical therapist and PCP, and I would not recommend this doctor.
Verified patient
The only minuses were (1) that the assistant asked me several questions I had already answered on the pre-visit online questionnaire, and (2) once I had been prepped and x-rayed, it took quite a while for the doctor to come in. But I liked him a lot. ?
Verified patient
The wait was forever!
very long wait time, parking lot, and waiting room, was full...had to wait for someone to leave so i could park...parking was outrageous for seniors on a fixed income...i won't go back
Verified patient
Dr Fisch was friendly, asked me questions to better understand my concerns and listened actively. I appreciate him and all the other staff who helped me during my visit today. Thank you.

Very beneficial.
Seemed like a good dr
Dr. Fisch is very easy to talk to. He explains everything well and takes his time. I felt very confident in his expertise. An X-ray was taken at the office which was quite convenient. I would recommend him to my family and friends.
Verified patient
Superb, love the DR.
Verified patient
He listened to ALL my concerns. He then looked at my MRI and xrays and thoroughly explained everything and answered all my questions. He suggested what should be the next steps. He made sure I understood everything before the appointment concluded. A very caring doctor who I felt was extremely knowledgeable.
Verified patient
It was my first appointment with Dr. Fisch and I was very pleased. The fact that it was the first appointment is why the wait time was long - I understood that would be the case.
Verified patient
The paperless sign in was quick and easy. They had an x-ray done in no time at all. Bit of a wait for the doctor to turn up, but he was very nice with his explanations and assessment.
Verified patient
Very fast did not spend more than 10 minutes and I waited 90 minutes also did not get my medicine as the nurse could not get everything down that he wanted. Will call again tommorow maybe I will get it
Verified patient
Dr. Fisch is an expert in his field and methodically uses diagnostic tests, patient input, and his own personal observations to reach a diagnosis. My back surgery, performed two years ago, has been a complete success.
Verified patient
Had to wait too long in exam room. He said he got called to another room but someone could have come in an told me what the holdup was.
Verified patient
Dr. Fisch cuts right to the point, and definitely knows his profession. But Ortho Bethesda is a BIG operation, so always be prepared to wait.
Verified patient
Seems very confident
Verified patient
I appreciate his upfront approach. He made my diagnosis understandable to me as well as the goal of the treatment and what I needed to do. He answered all my questions.
