Irene was the first psychiatrist I have ever seen. Having gone to therapy for more than a year now, I had a general sense as to what to expect and I had hopes as to what I wanted out of my psychiatric evaluation. After the first go, I think Irene did an amazing job and was an excellent communicator and listener.

Did not feel listened to or even taken seriously by this doctor. She asked for my symptoms then interrupted me while I was trying to explain. She immediately said she doesn’t prescribe certain medications at the moment but a few minutes later she started listing a bunch of those very medications which was confusing because I just wanted to be heard and evaluated for this potential disorder. I don’t want random medications thrown at me without actually understanding what I was even experiencing.
She was also supposed to send me a list of specialists to further evaluate me but almost a week has passed and I haven’t heard anything since. :/
Super frustrating and disheartening.

The doctor was excellent and personable and I connected with her right away. I've seen a few psychiatrists over the years; I liked her a lot and felt that her course of treatment was very well thought out and made sense for my goals.
I had a virtual appointment and did find the emails from the patient portal a bit excessive and could have been consolidated and much easier to use. The redirect links also did not take you to exactly the page they said they would, which would have been easier.
