About Isaac Berlin
Hi, I’m Isaac Berlin, FNP-C — a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner offering accessible, thoughtful care to adults across California and Alaska. Through my practice, Be Well Berlin, I provide in-person visits in Los Angeles and statewide telehealth in both states, including rural and remote communities.
My care blends primary care, mental health, hormone optimization, migraine management, and aesthetics — all with a focus on whole-person wellness.
I’m currently completing a Primary Care Psychiatry Fellowship at UCI School of Medicine, expanding my expertise in anxiety, depression, ADHD, insomnia, and mood disorders. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI) to help patients shift unhelpful patterns, build insight, and make progress in a collaborative, judgment-free space.
Beyond mental health, I support patients with fatigue, sleep issues, hormonal imbalances (like low testosterone or perimenopause), and chronic conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol. I believe in personalized care that meets you where you are — physically, emotionally, and medically.
As a queer provider, I’m deeply committed to LGBTQIA+ affirming care, including PrEP, DoxyPEP, sexual health, and gender-affirming hormone therapy. I also offer Botox for cosmetic use and migraine relief.

Zepbound has worked SO much better than Wegovy — Isaac is incredible!
I started seeing Isaac at Be Well Berlin for weight loss after struggling with semaglutide (Wegovy). I was stuck at the same weight for months and constantly nauseated. Isaac switched me to Zepbound (tirzepatide), and it has seriously been night and day. I’m down 22 pounds in just a few months, and it feels so much easier, fewer cravings, better energy, and way less nausea.
Isaac really knows his stuff and explains everything in a super thoughtful, non-judgmental way. He helped me understand the differences between the meds, reviewed my labs, and built a plan that actually fits my life. I also appreciate that he helps me adjust my diet to my lifestyle so it's sustainable. If you’ve hit a wall with Wegovy or want a smarter approach to weight loss, talk to Isaac. I wish I’d found him sooner!

Finally getting the right support for ADHD and anxiety!
I was hesitant to try ADHD treatment again after being brushed off by other providers, but Isaac at Be Well Berlin completely changed that for me. He was incredibly kind, took my concerns seriously, and didn’t just throw meds at me. We talked through everything — symptoms, stress, even my sleep — and built a treatment plan that actually makes sense.
I’ve been seeing him for a few months now, and for the first time in years, I feel focused, less anxious, and more in control. He checks in regularly and adjusts things if needed, and I never feel rushed. Bonus: it’s all been via telehealth, which is super convenient. I really can’t recommend Isaac enough if you’re looking for thoughtful, affirming care that doesn’t make you feel like just another number.

I found Be Well Berlin while searching for gender affirming care in Alaska, and I’m so glad I did. I live in a pretty remote part of the state, and it’s hard to find providers who really understand transgender HRT and actually take the time to listen.
Isaac has been incredible—super kind, knowledgeable, and zero judgment. He helped me get started on hormones, and we’ve also been working on my anxiety and depression, which I’ve been putting off for way too long. I didn’t expect to get this much support in one place.
He also got me started on PrEP, which I’ve wanted for a while but didn’t know how to access up here. He accepts Alaska Medicaid, which made everything affordable and simple. The whole process—from booking to follow-up—was easy and stress-free.
If you’re in Homer, on the Kenai Peninsula, Mat-Su, Anchorage, or anywhere in Alaska and need trans-affirming healthcare, mental health support, or PrEP, I can’t recommend Be Well Berlin enough.

Mental health care is so frustrating to find, especially as a queer person. I really wanted to find someone specialized in LGBTQ care who could relate to me and how I experience the world around me. I’ve done the standard route through insurance and it hasn’t always felt like the right fit, appointments always seem to be scarce and the cost of even the copays just really adds up.
I ended up finding Isaac and honestly… it’s been such a relief. He actually listens, doesn’t talk down to me, and explains things in a way that makes sense. He’s super patient, and I’ve never felt rushed. We talk through different options and what to watch for, and I feel way more in control of my care.

I was thoroughly impressed with the care and attention I received from NP Berlin. I was seen right away and he worked around my schedule. Isaac really listened to my concerns and spent time actually talking to me about my options and a treatment plan. (As a post menopausal woman, that usually isn’t the case!!!) He was very knowledgeable in the latest treatments for menopause and hormone therapy. Also of note, as a queer femme, I felt completely comfortable, seen, and accepted by Isaac. I HIGHLY recommend this provider and have already referred friends!
