What is your typical process for working with clients?
My process as a PMHNP is grounded in evidence‑based psychiatric care and clear communication. Your first visit includes a detailed diagnostic assessment in which we discuss your symptoms, past treatments, medical conditions, and your goals. Based on this, I develop a personalized plan that may involve medication, brief psychotherapy, and targeted interventions.
Each appointment or follow‑up session includes symptom review, medication monitoring, and focused therapeutic work. I explain my clinical reasoning, discuss options openly, and make decisions collaboratively with you. You can expect a structured, transparent, and supportive approach designed to help you achieve meaningful, measurable progress.

I've been searching for a mental health specialist who would truly take the time to understand me and provide a thorough assessment. After just one visit with Ms. Isatu, I was genuinely impressed by her extensive knowledge, professionalism, and expertise. She immediately made me feel comfortable and created a safe environment where I felt heard. Unlike my previous specialist, she listened attentively without making me feel rushed or dismissed. She took the time to ask thoughtful questions and carefully evaluated my concerns. What I appreciate most is that she is not quick to prescribe medication and send patients on their way. Instead, she did an overall assessment to make sure that any treatment or medication she recommends is appropriate and tailored to my specific needs.
