About Ishani Patel
Patel is a board-certified physician assistant (PA-C). She is grateful for the opportunity she has every day to offer comprehensive and compassionate dermatologic care to patients of all ages. Ishani was born and raised in the Northwest suburbs of Illinois and received her bachelor’s degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Illinois. She then headed to the East Coast to attend Albany Medical College, where she earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies.
Following graduation in 2010, Ishani began her career as a physician assistant in a fast-paced emergency room (ER). After about two years of experience in the ER, she pursued her passion for dermatology. Ishani practiced at a dermatology clinic in New Jersey before relocating back to her home state of Illinois, closer to her family.
Ishani is a diplomate member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA), a diplomate fellow of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (SDPA), and a member of the Illinois Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (ISDPA), which helps her stay up to date on the latest dermatologic treatment advancements. She is also a certified melanoma educator and has volunteered in Kenya, providing dermatologic services through the Passion to Heal organization.
Ishani is an experienced PA with years of practice in medical and cosmetic dermatology. Her medical interests include acne, psoriasis, skin cancer treatment, and surgical procedures, while her cosmetic interests include BOTOX®, RADIESSE®, and Restylane®. She enjoys and takes pride in providing personalized care to both adult and pediatric patients.
