I worked closely with Dr. Ivette - not only did she coach me through the fundamentals of form, breathing, and stability, but also painstakingly explained the rationale behind all of our work in depth. I like to understand the science behind PT and had it laid out to me in detail. I left not only recovered but optimistic for a life without chronic pain - thank you Dr. Ivette!”

About Dr. Ivette Mendez
Dr. Ivette Mendez is a Chicago native. She attended the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology. During her time at UIC, Dr. Mendez assisted with research concerning the impact of physical activity on the brain health of Latinos and participated in various on-campus organizations that promoted preventative care.
Her appreciation for preventative care continued after her mother experienced relief with Chiropractic treatment for joint pain due to an autoimmune disease. This health challenge sparked a passion for conservative care that led Dr. Mendez to pursue a doctoral degree in Chiropractic Medicine from National University of Health Sciences.
During her doctoral education, Dr. Mendez spent a year in the Functional Medicine branch of a multidisciplinary clinic in downtown Chicago where she spent over 1000+ hours with patients learning Functional Medicine. In addition, Dr. Mendez attended advanced post graduate coursework including McKenzie Therapy (MDT), acupuncture, dry needling, functional medicine, and clinical nutrition. One on one clinical experiences with patients, incredible mentors, and countless hours of continuing education have prepared Dr. Mendez to tackle a wide variety of health concerns.
The ability to move the body freely and be active is one of the most important markers of overall health. Her goal is to educate and empower patients to feel well-equipped to manage any and all health obstacles life may throw their way. Dr. Mendez is bilingual and uses that skill to serve both the Spanish and English speaking communities in the Chicagoland area.
In her spare time, Dr. Mendez enjoys spending time with family and friends, trying new fitness classes, exploring new restaurants, and taking her pup out for long walks.

Dr. Mendez is literally THE BEST! Came in with chronic lower back and felt immediate relief after ONE adjustment! So humble, so knowledgeable, so professional! She can explain any every procedure to you. What more can you ask for? Best chiropractor I've ever been too. I've told her that I will always use her services! She's second to none!

I've had lower back issues for a long time now and have seen different professionals. Dr. Ivette Mendez is the first who has looked for the root of the issue and addressed it. Not only does she have an unbelievable understanding of the spine and the body, but she is a pleasure to work with and makes you feel like you matter with her undivided attention and care. She is a true healer. I happily recommend her.

A friend referred me to Dr. Ivette Mendez and she is absolutely amazing. She adjusts me and provides muscular therapy. I never knew how tight my body was until I started seeing her. My body doesn't feel tense anymore and I have seen tremendous change with my legs, especially working out. I see her at least once a month sometimes twice. Definitely recommend.

Dr. Ivette Mendez is incredibly professional, knowledgeable and most importantly, she is intuitive. She is an excellent listener and has keen ability to focus on the problem area. I have been receiving chiropractic care as well as acupuncture and cupping! With each visit I find myself feeling better and optimizing my health. If you are searching for a place to regain alignment and explore non-surgical alternatives to healing, this is it! You will be in the BEST hands. The office is clean, inviting and you are always greeted with a warm smile.

This was my first time going to a chiropractor and I can confidently say it has changed my life. Dr. Mendez was recommended to me by a friend for a neck pain that was resolved immediately, two months later Dr. Mendez is not only working with me to rehabilitate my injured knee but is also helping me lead a more healthy lifestyle through her functional medicine program. I look forward to my appointments with her, for the knowledge she will share with me and the energy she has. She is very caring and thinks about her patients even when she isn't in the office, which only shows her dedication and compassion.

Both Dr. Mendez is extremely professional. What I truly appreciated is that she thoroughly explains everything, which makes it easier to understand what they are doing. She genuinely cares for her patients and is very passionate. I would definitely recommend her to anyone. She truly makes you feel comfortable all while she gets to the root cause of the issue. I also love that Dr. Mendez is bilingual and doesn't mind explaining things in either English or Spanish.
