About Dr. Jackie Snell
Dr. Jackie Snell started practicing in 2000 with a passion to keep people well. For her, prevention is the heart of family medicine. “If we can control blood pressure, get asthma in check, do cancer screenings, encourage exercise and good eating habits, then we can keep people out of the hospital and living their best lives.” says Dr. Snell. Dr. Snell treats infants, children, teens and adults, performing adult physical exams, well woman exams, well child exams and Medicare annual wellness visits. “I really enjoy getting to know the whole family.”Dr. Snell earned her undergraduate degree in zoology from The University of Texas. She then attended The UT Health Science Center at Houston and graduated in 1997. The school has since been renamed McGovern Medical School. While there, Dr. Snell completed a research project about cancer screening reminder strategies that was published in a scientific journal. She completed her family medicine residency at Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital in Houston, TX, and is board certified by the American Academy of Family Medicine.In her free time, Dr. Snell enjoys reading and walking on the beach. She married her college sweetheart, and they have three kids, including one who has special needs. Dr. Snell loves to teach. She homeschooled her children for several years. She taught science, health and nutrition courses in the homeschool community, and she taught English to refugee women in Houston. Dr. Snell and her husband have volunteered their time in Boy Scouts, and both of their sons are Eagle Scouts. They are active in their church, and their family loves to visit US national parks.

At first, I was unsure, first visit. But after check in and being put in room, the nurse was very nice, put me at ease with jokes while taking vitals, helped me relax. Dr. Snell came in, very friendly, introduced herself and took time to listen and put me at ease with diagnosis and treatment plan. I will seek care with Dr.Snell again. I have great anxiety with anything medical related, this was an easy experience.

I actually felt welcomed here. Not only was my wait time really short, but the whole staff was super nice. Mrs snell actually listened to my concerns and asked me questions that other doctors I’ve been too didn’t. I plan on making this place my home for doctors visits and anything else medical related. I highly recommend if you’re looking for a doctor who will listen and genuinely do their best to help, Mrs snell is the one you should pick.

I highly suggest that if you have any value for your time that you look elsewhere for a provider . I waited over 15 minutes for my appointment and I decided to disconnect . Following , I called the providers office to let them know about the long wait time and my frustration. They were so nonchalant and rude to me I could not believe the level of disrespect and unprofessionalism. I was looking forward to my appointment but I cannot give anyone my business the does not value me or my time .
