Getting to know Jaclyn Eastman

Hi, I’m Jaclyn, a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner specializing in child, adolescent, and adult mental health care. I provide compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric treatment for individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, and emotional or behavioral everyday challenges. I am a certified ADHD specialist with a focus on helping both children and adults improve attention, focus, emotional regulation, and daily functioning. I also support patients navigating stress, life transitions, low mood, and difficulty coping with everyday demands. My approach is warm, supportive, and patient-centered. I believe effective mental health care starts with feeling heard and understood, and I work to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where patients can openly share their experiences and goals. Together, we develop personalized treatment plans that may include medication management, education, and supportive strategies tailored to each individual’s needs. My goal is to help patients and families build confidence, strengthen coping skills, and achieve long-term emotional wellness so they can feel more balanced, focused, and empowered in their daily lives.

What should a new client know about working with you?

New clients should know that I provide a supportive, judgment-free space where children, adolescents, and adults can feel comfortable discussing their mental health concerns. I focus on building a strong therapeutic relationship rooted in trust, respect, and collaboration so you feel heard and understood from the very beginning. As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and certified ADHD specialist, I specialize in evaluating and treating ADHD, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and emotional or behavioral challenges across all ages. I also support individuals navigating stress, life transitions, and difficulties with focus, attention, or emotional regulation. My approach is patient-centered and evidence-based. I take time to understand each person’s unique symptoms, strengths, and goals before developing a personalized treatment plan. This may include medication management, psychoeducation, and practical strategies to support daily functioning and emotional well-being. Throughout treatment, I emphasize open communication and collaboration so clients and families feel actively involved in care decisions. My goal is to help each person build confidence, improve coping skills, and achieve meaningful, lasting improvements in mental health and overall quality of life.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My typical process begins with a comprehensive initial evaluation where I take time to understand your symptoms, history, and goals for care. This first visit is also focused on building rapport, answering questions, and creating a supportive space where you feel comfortable and heard. After the initial assessment, I develop a personalized, evidence-based treatment plan tailored to your specific needs. As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and certified ADHD specialist, I frequently evaluate and treat ADHD, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and emotional or behavioral challenges in children, adolescents, and adults. Treatment may include medication management, psychoeducation, and practical strategies to support focus, emotional regulation, and daily functioning. Follow-up appointments are used to monitor progress, adjust treatment when needed, and address any ongoing concerns. I prioritize open communication and collaboration so you and/or your family feel informed and involved in every step of care. I am also easily available for questions and support between appointments to help you feel guided and supported throughout your treatment process. Over time, we work toward improving symptoms, strengthening coping skills, and supporting long-term emotional wellness so each client feels more balanced, confident, and empowered in their daily life.

Overall the appointment went very well and it wasn't stressful like I anticipated. The lights in the lobby were extremely bright but otherwise, everything was good.
