DR. JACOB MEARSE Hi! My name is Jake Mearse, certified nurse midwife and psychiatric nurse practitioner. I've been married to April Mearse for 23 years, and we have seven (yes, seven!) amazing kids. I'm most passionate about informed consent, client-centered care, and compassionate, non-judgmental service. BACKGROUND I joined the Navy at age 18, and retired 25 years later. I graduated from the University of Washington with a doctorate in nursing practice in 2014, and have enjoyed providing care to those in need ever since. I graduated from a 2-year postdoctoral program at Frontier Nursing University in 2017, and began my dual career in psychiatry and midwifery.
