About Dr. Jacob Reinkraut

Jacob Reinkraut, DPM, FACFAS is a Bergen County native, who opened his private practice in familiar territory. Dr. Reinkraut or as he calls himself “Jake” is a physician who is known by his patients to be compassionate and caring because he believes that the patient’s well-being always comes first, and he treats every patient like family. Dr. Reinkraut earned his undergraduate degree from Muhlenberg College and received his doctorate from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine. Following medical school, Dr. Jacob Reinkraut completed his surgical residency at St. Michael’s Medical Center, serving as Chief Resident and he earned his board certification from the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. Dr. Reinkraut’s expert medical and surgical training allows him to diagnose and treat foot and ankle disorders using the most advanced techniques. He treats all age groups starting from pediatric patients to adults and a full range of foot conditions, including cosmetic surgery, minimally invasive surgery, reconstructive surgery, trauma care, diabetic foot care including wound care, and limb salvage. He has a special interest in sports medicine, reconstructive surgery, and amputation prevention. Dr. Reinkraut maintains affiliations with Valley Hospital as well as Saint Michael’s Medical Center where he is currently the Chief of the Foot and Ankle Department and the Residency Director where he trains other resident physicians in the most advanced medical and surgical treatment of the foot and ankle. Dr. Reinkraut is a Past President of the New Jersey Podiatric Medical Society and currently serves on the Board of Trustees. He retains active memberships with the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and the American Podiatric Medical Association. Dr. Reinkraut spends his spare time with his wife Diana, children, and dog. He enjoys the outdoors playing tennis, hiking, and skiing.

This was my second time back for the same issue. The wait was over 35 minutes, spent about 10 minutes with the dr. He didn’t sugar coat the procedure which was good. Overall I think the problem was solved.
