I am a board-certified family medicine physician with a Doctor of Medicine degree from Southern Illinois University. I completed my residency in Family Medicine at Self Regional Healthcare and earned my bachelor's degree from Wheaton College. I enjoy optimizing the treatment of chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, and hyperlipidemia. I am passionate about preventive medicine and strive to help my patients improve their health through diet, exercise, and evidence-based lifestyle habits. I prioritize listening to my patients and, through shared decision-making, support them in achieving their best possible health. I encourage patients to stay current with annual preventive care screenings to detect and address medical issues early. I arrived about 40 minutes early for my initial visit to allow time to share my
health history and my insurance coverage, Staffer got started with all of those items about 20 minutes after my arrival and 20 minutes before seeing the doctor. Entire operation was very professional and efficient.
Doctor Standard went over entire history at the start of my appointment.
I had just recently moved to the Dallas area and Dr. Standard also took time to recommend specialists that I should see. Highly recommend Dr. Standard.

I will recommend dr Jacob office his assistant was very friendly and professional she ask all the right questions she was able to make feel comfortable I was late to my appointment but they did not turn me away i felt bad for the first time dr Jacob was very attentive to me you can see the willingness to help me by any way necessary he wants to make sure that I was doing well he want to be sure that nothing bad happened to me he is dr I been looking for sometime you go to the dr office but you go home with the same problem you came with but I feel at ease with dr Jacob my experience with him today 5/22/2025 it was a good a experience I can tell with him I can trust him with my health he so patient with you ,professional and his office very clean I am going to keep seeing him

I’m a teacher & I’ve been losing my voice. Dr. Standard asked lots of questions to craft the perfect “next steps” for me. He also made sure I had some steps I could do at home while I waited for my follow up and to improve my current health. The check in was awesome too! I just sat in my car watching tik toks until they texted me that they were ready which was quickly after my check in! All the nurses were kind & cheery. I will definitely be recommending Dr. Standard to all my friends and family! He really knows his stuff!!

I was able to get my yearly well check and a few concerns addressed at the same visit, scheduling was super easy and I got in quick! He was detailed and patient with any questions I had. ?? I need to change my review because I'm so angry. Dr. Standard scared me and said it was because he cared. He asked other doctors for advice and had me see a specialist I didn't need. I'm basically back to square 1 with my illness. I went for a diabetes/A1C blood work and he came back with some bad advice that my GI and I were already working in. I was originally excited that I found a new PCP and it turned into a nightmare.b

I booked a new patient appointment with Dr. Jacob Standard in Frisco, TX. Immediately upon meeting him I could tell that he genuinely cares about his patients. He is polite, a great listener, and considers many angles when looking for a diagnosis.
I would also like to praise the staff at Village Health Partners Frisco Medical Village where I booked my appointment. The nurses and phlebotomist were kind and attentive.

Dr. Standard was not very helpful during my visits. After supplying him with paperwork from previous medical professionals he was very frantic and made me worry the entire visit thinking I was going to be admitted to the hospital even when explaining time after time that I was not feeling ill. He seems to be new with patients, and told me he had to consult with other knowledge physicians on what steps I should take with my health when I set the appointment to get Dr. Standard’s help and not a different doctor I had not approved to look through my personal information and paperwork
