Adult Psychiatric & Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
AZ
Hi, I'm Jackie, a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner providing telepsychiatry in Arizona. I'm so glad you're here. I know reaching out for mental health support can feel overwhelming, so my goal is to make our time together feel more like a conversation than an appointment. No judgment, no rushing, and space to figure out together what actually works for you. I work with adults experiencing a wide range of mental health concerns. Together, we'll look beyond individual symptoms and explore how things like mood, anxiety, trauma, attention, sleep, stress, relationships, and physical health may intersect. I combine medication management with psychotherapy and take a collaborative approach to treatment. Your priorities and goals remain at the center of our work, while I bring evidence-based recommendations and clinical guidance to help us decide on a plan together. Ultimately, I want you to feel heard, understood, and actively involved in your care. I have particular interests in anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, bipolar disorder, and also more complex or overlapping symptoms. I especially enjoy helping clients make sense of symptoms that don't fit neatly into one diagnosis or when previous treatments haven't provided the results they hoped for. Reach out so we can find life's best balance for you.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I want new clients to know that care with me is collaborative, thoughtful, and never one-size-fits-all. I take the time to listen, ask questions, and understand what’s going on beyond a diagnosis or list of symptoms. With nearly two decades of healthcare experience, I’ve worked across a range of settings with clients seeking mental health care for the first time as well as those experiencing more complex and serious psychiatric conditions. That breadth of experience helps me meet each client where they are. My approach is evidence-based and trauma-informed, with an emphasis on creating a comfortable, respectful space where clients feel heard and involved in their care. Whether we’re considering medication, psychotherapy, lifestyle factors, or a combination of approaches, we’ll make decisions together based on your goals, preferences, and what the evidence supports. My goal is for you to leave each visit feeling heard, informed, and clear about the plan moving forward.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Your first session begins with a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation so I can understand the full picture of what you’re experiencing. We’ll review your current concerns, mental health and medical history, previous diagnoses and treatments, medications, lifestyle, and goals for care. From there, we’ll work together to develop a treatment plan that feels appropriate for you. Follow-up visits are individualized based on your needs and may include medication management, psychotherapy, or a combination of both. Therapy can be incorporated when clinically recommended or simply because it’s something you value as part of your care. My goal is for each client to understand their options and have an active voice in treatment decisions.
