What should a new client know about working with you?

I always start by exchanging pleasantries with patients to break the ice and then delve into the real reason for the visit or encounter. I will ask questions and expect the client to provide accurate responses to enable me to arrive at a clinical conclusion to make the session more meaningful for the client and myself.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My sessions may be both diagnostic process or talk therapy for the initial session and medication therapy when there is the need. A typical session may determine what the client may need for his or her well-being. The first step is the interaction with the client.

Dr. Baidoo seemed willing to go the extra mile to help, but unfortunately it was too little too late. She missed our rescheduled appointment. I had to reach out to her twice before getting ahold of someone 5min prior to the appointment. Seemed like they were unaware of my appointment in general. I was informed that the doctor had left for the day but they’d “see what they could do”. Dr. Baidoo ended up calling me throughout the day attempting to set up a proper appointment even after I had disclosed to her that would no longer be necessary due to me finding care elsewhere. I believe Dr. Baidoo meant well but it was just very unorganized & unprofessional. Although I appreciated her persistence in trying to help, it was all just too much.
