What should a new client know about working with you?

You are the author of your own story. Blending CBT, DBT, and Narrative Therapy, I guide you in identifying emotions, reframing unhelpful patterns, and strengthening your relationships. I am BIG on giving you things, so I will provide you with actionable, everyday tools to overcome barriers and manage daily stress. I offer a warm and non-judgmental space where you can share your story and show up exactly as you are. Therapy shouldn't feel like a clinical examination. It should feel like a partnership centered on curiosity, compassion, and vulnerability. I am committed to creating a practice that honors your unique identity and lived experiences.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

You are the expert of your life. My goal is to try and see the world through your lens while offering my expertise when needed. I pull from several approaches to create an experience that is tailored to what you need. During our first session, I will review the therapeutic process, structure, policies, and procedures, while exploring concerns that brought you to counseling. The assessment phase typically lasts two to four sessions. During which I will ask questions to understand your worldview, strengths, needs, and relationship dynamics to determine the best therapeutic approach for you. Once I have gathered background information, we will work together to define your clear therapeutic goals. Spanning from session two through discharge, I encourage active participation in sessions, applying solutions, and completing between-session assignments. As you approach your goals, we will collaboratively plan your transition out of therapy 🍃
