About Dr. Jaeyoung Lee

Dr. Jaeyoung Lee is a board-certified internist who has been in practice for about 30 years since his graduation. He earned a medical degree from Hanyang University School of Medicine, located in Seoul, South Korea. He completed his internal medicine residency at the Hanyang University Hospital. After military service as a South Korean Army officer, he completed Allergy and clinical immunology fellowship at the Seoul National University Hospital. He was an Associate Professor at Hallym University, Medical School. He had been practicing for more than 10 years as an allergy specialist/attending physician in a University Hospital (Kangdong Sacred Heart Hospital, Seoul) before moving to the U.S. He has an experience as immunology researcher at Yale University, New Haven, CT. He published many peer-review articles in scientific journals including J Allergy Clin Immunol, J Clin Invest, J Biol Chem, and Allergy. He wrote book chapters in ‘Textbook of Internal medicine’ and ‘Asthma and Allergic Diseases' in Korean.
He moved to the U.S in 2013 and underwent residency training again at the Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island to practice in the U.S. He was a hospitalist for 4 years in the greater Boston area and then joined JK internal medicine in August 2020. He is incredibly happy to settle in the north Atlanta community and is enjoying a new phase of his life.

I wish the office called me after I booked the appointment. And gave me provisions before I came to my appointment.
I arrived 15 minutes early but however wait near half an hour past my appointment time, so the wait was okay I guess. The doctor gave me clear explanations of my concerns. I felt comfortable with my conversation with the doctor. The staff was okay, one question that confused me was they asked me about my medical history. I was confused about the question but a better way to phrase is do you have any prior diagnoses that we should be aware of? Rather than asking about my medical history. I didn't know if he wanted to know the previous offices I've been to.
