What should a new client know about working with you?

I began my career in emergency nursing, where I saw firsthand how deeply mental health impacts overall well-being. I later worked in pain management, gaining insight into the complex connection between physical and emotional health. These experiences strengthened my ability to stay calm, think critically, and provide compassionate care during vulnerable moments. I was drawn to the psychological aspects of healing, which led me to pursue continuing education in psychiatric care. My practice focus is to help people feel understood, stable, and empowered. Mental health treatment is constantly evolving, and I believe you deserve care that reflects the most current research, best practices, and treatment options available. I attend numerous psychiatric conferences annually to help expand my knowledge and stay up to date with the most recent research. Every patient also teaches me something. Every clinical challenge is an opportunity to deepen skill and understanding. My goal is to combine evidence-based knowledge with compassionate, individualized care so you feel heard, supported, and confident in the treatment process. Every journey is different and we will work together to find the best path for you.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Working with me is collaborative, structured, and supportive. My intake process is thorough. We review history, symptoms, past treatments, and goals to create a clear, personalized plan. I prioritize education so you understand your diagnosis and treatment options. Progress looks like improved mood stability, better focus and sleep, healthier coping skills, and feeling more in control of your life. I work best with adults navigating anxiety, depression, mood disorders, ADHD, PTSD, or life transitions who are open to reflection and growth. My style is calm, direct, and evidence-based, with thoughtful medication management when appropriate. I welcome patients of all backgrounds, identities, and experiences and provide LGBTQIA+ affirming care.
