Hello, I am Jake McKee, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. I have always found satisfaction in helping people find their best future. I am honored when people choose me to help them.
What should a new client know about working with you?
Expect comfort in being yourself with me. I want you to feel your emotions without shame. I like hearing ideas about treatment and I like to work with my patients' preferences as much as I can. Expect mutual respect as we move toward your better future.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
I want you to see results as quickly as possible after your visit with me. If you are in immediate distress I will use fast-acting interventions while we wait for longer term solutions.
I don't like giving medications without necessity and I don't pressure my patients to take medicines. It is my long-term goal to have my patients on zero medications if that is something that can be achieved.
