Detrick, PA-C, who grew up in Midlothian, provides comprehensive primary care , hormone balancing, and weight management services to adults at Advantage Primary Care in Richmond, Virginia. After earning his undergraduate degree at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Jim graduated from James Madison University, where he earned a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies. Since his graduation, Jim has had many years of experience in primary care and emergency medicine. He has extensive experience helping patients of all ages with acute and chronic medical problems. Jim's care philosophy is patient-centered. He wants you to feel better about yourself, your relationship with your medical provider, and your control of your medical concerns be they chronic medical conditions like diabetes or hypertension, acute conditions, or aesthetic concerns. Jim gives back to the community and has volunteered medical services in Haiti, and had been a volunteer EMT for almost 20 years Jim has achieved numerous advanced certifications and has been thoroughly trained in: 1 He is a certified aesthetic injector, and he regularly attends conferences to keep abreast of the latest trends to help his patients. 2 He is a certified Biote provider for hormone replacement in men and women. 3 He has extensive training in weight loss and believes in using food as medicine. He promotes medical assisted weight loss has demonstrated excellent results. 4 He is also a certified “Stemwave” provider to help patients with chronic pain and inflammation.
