About Dr. James Du Pont

Dr. James du Pont is a board-qualified Family Medicine physician who has served communities across North Texas and Southern Oklahoma for the past seven years. Originally from Phoenix, Arizona, he relocated to Texas in 2019 with a purposeful commitment to serving smaller communities and expanding access to high-quality medical care outside densely populated metropolitan areas. Dr. du Pont is recognized for his compassionate, patient-centered approach and unwavering dedication to delivering comprehensive, evidence-based care. Guided by the values of traditional community medicine, he is passionate about restoring the “town doctor” model—building meaningful, long-term relationships with patients and families while providing personalized care rooted in trust, accessibility, and continuity. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Arizona State University and his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from A.T. Still University. He completed his Family Medicine residency training at Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas. Dr. du Pont maintains active membership in the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), American Medical Association (AMA), American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP), and American College of Physicians (ACP). Known for his strong work ethic and deep commitment to his patients, Dr. du Pont approaches each individual with the same care and attention he would offer his own family. He has extensive experience managing a broad spectrum of acute and chronic medical conditions, utilizing a holistic approach that emphasizes physical, mental, and preventive wellness.
