A Montville Township native, James Federica’s lifelong goal was to always work in primary care. After graduating from Montville Township High School, James earned his bachelor’s degree in biology from Virginia Tech University. He then returned to New Jersey to obtain his master’s degree from Seton Hall University to become a board-certified Physician Assistant (PA-C). As a family medicine PA-C, James incorporates his prior training and education in a variety of medical settings to treat his patients. “Family medicine allows me not only to see a diverse array of people depending on their needs and conditions, but to also learn about their unique bio-individual needs. I would like to grow with my patients over time as a way to not only learn everything about their history, culture, and what makes them ‘them,’ but so I can use that knowledge to cultivate medical guidance that is best suited to their needs,” James says. With a particular interest in not only preventing heart disease and diabetes but helping patients with hormonal imbalances and employing integrative approaches to help with disease prevention he says, “this allows us to expand how we work together and truly what I believe is most helpful.” In his free time, James enjoys physical exercise, playing recreational sports, film, and spending time with friends and family.
