He completed advanced training in Vascular Surgery in the University of Pennsylvania Surgical Graduate Program. He is senior partner at Surgical Associates of Westport founded in 1960. After joining Surgical Associates in 1983, he was named to the faculty as a Clinical Instructor of Surgery in the Yale School of Medicine/Norwalk Hospital PA Surgical Residency. He is senior General Surgeon at Norwalk Hospital. A member of many prestigious medical organizations, Dr. Gadzik is also an instructor for the American College of Surgeons Advanced Trauma Life Support Program lecturing at New York Medical College. Dr Gadzik has presented original surgical research to the Surgical Forum of the American College of Surgeons and is one of a few surgeons in the United States who has been certified as a Diplomat in Surgery four times. Dr Gadzik trained at the University of Pennsylvania in a broad range of general surgical disciplines, his current clinical interests include hernia repair, abdominal/gallbladder surgery, and trauma/acute care surgery.
