Getting to know James Wyle

I am committed to providing evidence-based, trauma-informed care that integrates psychopharmacology, psychotherapy, and lifestyle interventions to improve long-term mental health outcomes across diverse populations.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I believe that every person has a unique story, and understanding that story is essential to providing meaningful psychiatric care. My goal is to create a supportive, respectful, and judgment-free environment where you feel comfortable talking openly about what you're experiencing. It is important to take an inquisitive, holistic, and solution-oriented approach to treatment. Rather than focusing solely on symptoms, I look at the many factors that can affect mental health, including physical health, lifestyle, stress, relationships, work, and daily functioning. Together, we'll develop a personalized treatment plan that aligns with your goals and helps you move toward lasting wellness. My background is working with individuals experiencing a variety of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, ADHD, panic disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), sleep disorders, stress, anger management concerns, and men's mental health issues.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I believe that successful treatment begins with collaboration. You are the expert on your life, and my role is to provide the knowledge, tools, and guidance you need to achieve your mental health goals. My treatment approach is individualized and evidence-based, combining medication management when appropriate with therapeutic techniques that help you develop practical skills for managing everyday challenges. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Problem-Solving Therapy to help identify obstacles, build on your strengths, and create realistic strategies for positive change. My focus is not only on reducing symptoms but also on improving your overall quality of life by helping you build resilience, confidence, and healthy coping skills that support long-term success. Your first appointment is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and develop a clear understanding of what brings you to treatment. During this visit, we'll discuss your current concerns, symptoms, medical and psychiatric history, previous treatments, medications, lifestyle factors, and the goals you hope to achieve. I'll also answer any questions you have so that you fully understand your diagnosis, treatment options, and recommendations. By the end of your appointment, we'll work together to develop an individualized treatment plan that may include medication management, therapeutic strategies, lifestyle recommendations, or a combination of approaches based on your needs. My goal is for you to leave your first session feeling heard, understood, and confident that we have a clear plan to help you move forward.
