Getting to know Jamie Piekarski

I have been interested in gaining a deeper understanding of the human experience since early on. I received a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Pace University as well as an additional Bachelor's Degree from New York University which allowed me to practice as a Registered Nurse in 2013. After practicing as an RN for several years in both Oncology and Psychiatric settings, I completed Graduate level training at New York University which granted me the title of Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in 2019. I have since completed post-graduate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy training at The Beck Institute as well as a one year Intensive Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Program at the William Alanson White Institute of Psychiatry in New York City. Since completing my degree, I have gained invaluable experience working at a Psychiatric Emergency Room in New York City, a Community Health Clinic serving vulnerable populations, and as an adjunct professor in the Graduate Department of New York University's College of Nursing.
