Mental health challenges are more common than we often realize: depression, anxiety, insomnia, and substance use disorders affect people in all walks of life, including those we know and care about. My goal is to support individuals facing a wide range of common mental health conditions. I consider the full picture of each person's emotional, psychological, and physical well-being. I integrate holistic, patient-centered care with modern neuroscience, medication management, and emerging modalities like psychedelic-assisted therapy. I believe in a mind-body approach that honors the unique story behind each person’s symptoms.

What should a new client know about working with you?

As a psychiatric and family nurse practitioner with a strong foundation and specialized training in addiction medicine, I bring a trauma-informed, nonjudgmental approach to care. I’ve worked closely with individuals navigating everything from opioid use and stimulant addiction to alcohol dependence, behavioral addictions, and co-occurring mental health diagnoses. Medication can be a powerful tool in your mental health journey, but it should never feel like the only option, or like something that’s being pushed on you without your voice in the process. As a dual-certified PMHNP and FNP, I offer thoughtful, collaborative medication management that is always grounded in respect for your goals, values, and lived experience. I provide psychological evaluations for mental health diagnoses, medication planning, and treatment clarity. Testing helps uncover what’s beneath symptoms like anxiety, mood swings, or attention issues. I also offer ketamine treatment for depression and trauma, including preparation and integration support. Evaluations ensure we tailor care to your unique needs, and are science-backed, compassionate, and personalized.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

The therapeutic process begins with a comprehensive intake and evaluation by a licensed provider to assess mental and physical health, treatment history, and personal goals. Based on this, a personalized treatment plan is developed, which may include ketamine therapy, transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), behavioral health support, medication management, or primary care services. Ketamine is administered in low, controlled doses under medical supervision, often resulting in rapid relief from depression, anxiety, PTSD, or substance use disorders. TMS, a non-invasive brain stimulation therapy, is conducted using FDA-approved equipment to target treatment-resistant depression safely and effectively. Throughout treatment, progress is closely monitored, with adjustments made as needed to dosage, frequency, or therapeutic approach. Providers also offer continued support through counseling, behavioral interventions, and follow-up care, often coordinating with primary care to ensure holistic well-being. This integrated model emphasizes combining innovative treatments with traditional therapy and medication, offering a whole-person approach to mental health. For added convenience and accessibility, Around The Block also provides free telehealth consultations, allowing patients to explore their options from the comfort of home.
