About Dr. Jane Vesel
Jane has 33 years of experience as a Registered Nurse and 27 years as a Certified Nurse Midwife. She is passionate about caring for and educating families while ensuring quality care. Jane enjoys caring for women of all ages, from teens seeking birth control to women in menopause. As a Certified Nurse Midwife, she provides both obstetrical and gynecological care. Her specialties include water immersion, acupuncture for chronic pain, and yoga for prenatal care.
Jane earned her Bachelor's degree and Doctorate in Nursing Practice from the University of Wisconsin, her Master's in Nurse-Midwifery from Georgetown University. She served 27 years in the US Air Force, retiring as a Colonel in 2012. While on active duty, she practiced midwifery and was the top administrator for numerous obstetrical and specialty medical clinics. Jane also held several executive leadership roles within the military medical system.
She is the proud mother of four and great-grandmother of one. Active in the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church choir, Jane enjoys skiing, fishing, kayaking, camping?anything outdoors!

Dr Vessel was kind, gentle, and quick. She listened and accommodated my exact needs. I highly recommend her. I was incredibly nervous before my appt (as always) and she was perfect. The office staff was also perfect. Thankful for their practice, help, and kindness.

Jane is INCREDIBLE! I'm so grateful to have found her. My husband and I have agreed to go to Heartland for all of our pregnancies so long as she is here. As a new mom and new to MO, she was every bit the support, wisdom, and professional expertise I needed to navigate pregnancy (my first) during a pandemic. We LOVE her!!
