Getting to know Janelle Adrienne Aguilon
Janelle earned both her Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) and her Master’s in Nursing (MS) from The Ohio State University. Coming from a family of nurses, she has been involved in healthcare settings—either volunteering or working—since her adolescence. She has experience in a variety of settings, including inpatient psychiatry, cancer support, and assisted living. Janelle is passionate about combining her diverse experiences in biopsychosocial health to support your overall well-being. She specializes in working with children and adolescents.
Having traveled extensively throughout her life, Janelle has developed a deep appreciation for learning about different cultures and traditions. She chose to settle in Colorado because of her love for being surrounded by nature’s beauty. In her free time, she enjoys weekends in the mountains, trying new recipes, simple arts and crafts, quality time with her dog, and tending to her plants.
What should a new client know about working with you?
Accepting new patients in CO! Fighting depression, anxiety, and stress can feel difficult and lonely. As a psychiatric provider, I'm here to support you in your healing journey with medication management. Imagine feeling the weight of your mental health problems lifting off your shoulders so that you feel more motivated to take on life; that relief is my goal for you. Throughout our appointments, I want you to feel heard and have more hope for more good days. I hold a nonjudgmental space for you through empathy, open-mindedness, and encouragement to voice your own thoughts and questions about your treatment.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
I treat a wide variety of mood, psychotic, and trauma disorders. We'll go through an evaluation and diagnosis, then work together to find a treatment plan that fits your needs. Along with medications, I can incorporate holistic care and supportive therapy. I treat all stages of life 6 and above, and I have extra experience in child/adolescent populations.
