About Janelle Bigelman
Being heavily invested in sports growing up and being the big sister of a sibling who was diagnosed with diabetes and celiac disease at a young age, I quickly learned the interconnection of optimal nutrition and how one's daily dietary habits can impact overall health, longevity, recovery, and performance, both positively and negatively. I earned my bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and after spending several years working in the business realm, my strong passion and admiration for health, nutrition, and fitness inspired me to pursue a master's degree in Dietetics and Nutrition from Florida International University and become a registered dietitian (RD). After working as a clinical dietitian, my deep desire to spread health awareness and promote a balanced, happy, and spirited life drove me to take the leap and establish my own nutrition consulting business in the center of the sunny (ooh hello there vitamin D!) city where I was born and raised, Miami.
My feeding philosophy is simple. I don't believe in limited and strict diets. I focus on inclusion rather than exclusion whenever feasible. I believe in teaching my patients and clients how to eat healthy and balanced, but most importantly how to create a healthy relationship with food and reduce fear around eating.
