Hi, I’m Janelle, the owner and director of Olive Speech & Language Therapy. I provide speech and language services for both young children and adults, with care that is personalized, functional, and rooted in real-life needs. Your first session will be a virtual video visit where we discuss therapy goals, concerns, and available services. Follow-up sessions may take place in the home or virtually. In-person services are available throughout North County San Diego. I am a California licensed and clinically certified speech-language pathologist through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and a Southern California native. I earned both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Speech-Language Pathology from California State University San Marcos. I specialize in early intervention and preschool-aged children, particularly late talkers and children with Autism or other developmental differences. My approach is play-based and family-centered, with a focus on supporting communication within everyday routines. I also take pride in helping families navigate the early stages of a new Autism or developmental diagnosis by offering guidance and support during what can feel like an overwhelming time. In addition to my pediatric work, I provide services for adolescents and adults with cognitive-communication challenges related to traumatic brain injury, stroke, and other neurological conditions. Areas of focus include attention, memory, word finding, executive functioning, and functional communication skills for daily life. I am committed to providing inclusive, culturally responsive, and neurodiversity-affirming care, and I value collaboration with families and clients to support meaningful progress. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time at the beach, exploring new hiking trails, and catching a baseball game.
