I am a warm, interactive provider who enjoys engaging with my patients to address their mental health needs. I am a Christian, I love listening to Christian music, going to the gym, watching movies, and doing meal prep.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
I like my patients to turn in the front and back copies of their insurance card or submit a valid payment method, and also to complete the intake forms via the Headway portal so I can learn more about them before the appointment.

Dr. Chukwu has been an excellent fit for me. As someone who was initially hesitant about taking medication for mental health conditions, she helped put my mind at ease and gave me a better understanding of how treatment can be beneficial. Since beginning care with Dr. Chukwu, I have made significant improvements in my quality of life thanks to her guidance and support.

During the initial appointment it went fine, though I was a bit frustrated that I wasn’t really being heard. I came for a specific issue but was being met with ways to treat seperate issues I was already treating. While these two things might seem connected, I had been treating the issues she wanted to talk about for the past 9 years and knew that increasing doses or changing those meds would not fix the issue I came to talk to her about. We did finally find a medication for the issue I needed help treating but the pharmacy we agreed to use said they could not fulfill it due to shortages and to find a different pharmacy. I contacted her about changing it and while she initially said yes, every email felt like she didn’t understand the context of the past emails. There were a lot of communication issues and I ended up canceling my future appointment due to how frustrated I was getting repeating myself and getting emails she already sent forwarded back to me.

PLEASE AVOID! The doctor waa rather dismissive about my very already attuned mixture of meds that turned my life around, gave me only a month supply due to her not trusting paitents to take correct dose and told me she wouls reevaulate each one. She also was very interested in my sexual preference which really weirded me out personally. She texted me medical and personal questions from a personal number, did the appointment in her car so it was very hard to hear her many times, as well as the biggest kicker she prescribed me one of my meds wrong! Completely unprofessional and completely someone I would avoid.

She never showed up for the appointment and this app and their website made it impossible for me to start the appointment. Once I called I clicked the emailed link sent after not before the appointment time. I waited an hour and no one showed up. I will be telling my insurance not to pay and I r refuse to pay for no show doctors.

10/10. Very kind and gentle, but also clear about expectations which is a relief for me. I am normally very uncomfortable with talk therapy and psychiatry and she made me feel like I was just talking to a friend.

She was somewhat professional however, she seemed more concerned about talking about my weight and diet during a visit regarding my mental health. I understand I am over weight and hear it enough from my regular doctor. I don’t come to see a mental health specialist to be told to eat a handful of nuts and get more sleep. I switched to another provider and got better help and actual useful information about my mental health.

Drove to the office and she said that we should do it via telahealth when I was already at the office. I had to find a parking lot to do my appointment in. I also went for concerns of dyslexia and she quickly dismissed that and said that anxiety and depression was my problem. She said “that’s what’s wrong with you” then prescribed me with anti depressants after less than 20 minutes of talking with me. Definitely do not recommend.
