What should a new client know about working with you?

I’m here to support your mental health with honesty, respect, and zero judgment. You don’t need to have the right words or a perfect plan—just show up as you are. Our work will be collaborative. I bring clinical expertise, but you're the expert on your own life. Together, we’ll identify what’s not working, explore the roots of it, and build practical strategies to help you feel more in control. I believe therapy should be real and useful, not vague or sugar-coated. That means I’ll listen carefully, ask the hard questions when needed, and always aim to help you make meaningful progress—not just vent week after week. If you’re ready to do the work, I’m ready to meet you there.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

We start by getting a clear understanding of what you’re going through—your symptoms, history, and what you're hoping to change. In the early sessions, I focus on listening, asking targeted questions, and working with you to arrive at an accurate diagnosis if needed. This gives us a solid foundation to build a care plan that actually fits you. If medication is part of your treatment, we’ll discuss it in depth—what it can help with, what the risks and benefits are, and how you feel about it. I don’t push meds, and I don’t prescribe casually. The decision to start or adjust medication is always made with you, not for you. Together, we’ll create a care plan that aligns with your goals, values, and preferences. That can include therapy, medication, behavioral strategies, lifestyle changes, or referrals to other providers. I’ll offer guidance based on clinical expertise, but your voice is central in every decision. Throughout our work, we’ll revisit your plan to make sure it’s working—and if it’s not, we’ll adjust. My role is to be a partner in your care, not just a provider. We move at your pace, with your input, toward progress that matters to you.
