Janet Oladipo is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner accredited by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). She earned her associate degree in nursing from Albany State University, Georgia, and her Bachelor's degree in nursing from the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa, AL. Janet also holds a Bachelor's degree from the University of Maryland. She went on to earn her Master of Science in Nursing, specializing in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing, from Walden University. Janet has worked in healthcare as a psychiatric registered nurse for over five years, caring for diverse populations ranging from children to adults in inpatient psychiatric hospitals with chemical dependency and outpatient services.
What should a new client know about working with you?
I am a very passionate person when it comes to taking care of my clients. I rely on evidence-based practice in other to provide the best care. My approach to care is understanding the need of the client, setting a professional and therapeutic boundary as well as environment that will foster a healthy outcome. Being able to communicate effectively will help me in providing the best care to my clients
What is your typical process for working with clients?
For every initial consult request made here on Zocdoc, I will complete either an introductory phone call or text message before adding the client to the practice. Therefore, completing a consult request on here does not mean that you will be seen by the provider until the initial call is done, then the consult request will be confirmed. I DO NOT complete FMLA paperwork for new clients. FMLA paperwork is completed for already established clients. The initial visit will comprise of getting to know the client, completing a comprehensive assessment that will include current problems, past histories and treatments. Depending on the nature and complexity of the initial visit, I might not prescribe on the initial visit if more time is needed to reconcile medications for a better treatment plan. Follow up visit will be scheduled right after the initial visit to prescribe medications if no prescription was completed on the initial visit. I do provide some talk therapy in addition to medication management

Dr. Oladipo has been so helpful in listening to what I have been experiencing, letting me know what best would help me, and prescribing me the correct medication.
