About Dr. Janice Trent
Janice R. Trent, Au.D., has practiced Audiology for over 20 years in a variety of clinical settings. Her diverse career includes 16 years of teaching and clinical supervision at Howard University in Washington, DC, and Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. Dr. Trent has also worked as a clinical audiologist in hospital settings and private ENT practices.
Dr. Trent earned her Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) degree from the University of Florida, Gainesville, FL. She holds a Master's degree in Audiology from Northeastern University, Boston, MA, and a Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Hampton University, Hampton, VA. She is licensed to practice Audiology in Maryland, is a Certified Clinical Audiologist (CCC-A) through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology.

I had an appointment with Dr Trent for November 17th, but the office canceled it and rescheduled me for November 20th at 2:00 PM. I arrived at my app on November 20th a
at 1:30. I looked for the building but there was no address on the outside, and the entrances had no address shown. I finally found the doctor's office; it was about 1:45, and the office door was locked. The sign on the door read, "Closed for lunch 12:00-1:00pm." I knocked, but there was no answer. An elderly gentleman, who also had an appointment at 2:00, arrived while I was waiting outside. I called the office but only got an answering machine. I was highly disappointed.

Several things stood out at both office sites;
1.Comfortable, clean waiting room
2.Marvelous receptionist who gets 5 stars by herself alone for her pleasant greeting, addressing patients properly ( no first names) appropriately the use of MR, MRS (MS.), Doctor ( not "Doc")
3. Everytest was clearly explained to me before starting a procedure with plenty of time remaining to hear and discuss the findings.
All and all just what I wanted from my audiology visit(s).
None better.

Dr. Trent is a is knowledgable, patient , and has a great " bedside manner . She does not type while conversing with you so she misses very little, if anything. I can say for myself that she allows ample time for patient questions and concerns.
In her office engagements you always leave better for having kept the appointment.

I was seen by Dr. Trent for a hearing problem that I had complained about to my primary care doctor about 6-9 months prior. Dr. Trent immediately recognized the problem and by the second visit (just two days later), I was hearing perfectly. The solution was a simple one but oddly my primary doctor didn't recognize the problem. Oh, how I wish, Dr. Trent was my primary care doctor! She's truly wonderful! She explains things well and genuinely cares about her patient. She's simply The Best!

I never went “and the day before my appointment “the lady at the office said they don’t do ear cleaning “but when I looked them up “ it didn’t clarified they don’t do ear cleaning there.they recommended me some other person “but he was book up till May 30 “I finally got someone “but I had to ride a hour just to get there “but the service was good “but I’m not mad at the Doctors because I never seen one

I have every confidence in her medical acumen.
