About Janice Winfrey
Janice Winfrey is a Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner with over 24 years of experience in healthcare. Her journey in medicine began as a patient, spending much of her adolescence in hospitals. She recovered and thrived in school, starting her career as a Certified Nurse Assistant and Cardiac Monitor Tech, which solidified her commitment to healthcare. Janice progressed to become a Nurse, then Charge Nurse, and ultimately served as the Nursing Supervisor at Harborview Medical Center. She also contributed to nursing education by teaching part of the Nursing program at a California State University.
Driven by a passion for improving patient care and seeking more direct patient contact, Janice returned to school to advance her education. She earned a Master's in Nursing and a Clinical Nurse Leader certificate from the University of San Francisco, followed by a Post-Master's Certificate in Family Nursing from Purdue University. After becoming a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner, Janice founded her own clinic in Monroe, WA, where she embraces a true patient-first approach.
Janice has witnessed the shortcomings of large clinics-brief appointments that end before patients finish explaining their concerns, frequent physician changes, and long waits for appointments. She is committed to being the provider who remembers her patients and makes time for them when it matters most.
Janice is currently accepting new patients aged 4 years and older for family care, as well as offering Mental Health Medication Management and Aesthetic services, including fillers and neurotoxin injections such as Botox for TMJ and migraine relief. She particularly enjoys working with adolescents, specializing in the evaluation and treatment of anxiety, depression, and ADHD.

Janice was amazing. She listened, I mean actually listened. I didn't feel judged, nor did I feel like I was a nuisance. She welcomed questions, made me feel comfortable and uncovered things no previous doctors had. While I might not have answers yet, I do have hope again.

Janice is kind and takes time to actually listen. I never feel rushed and Janice goes over various solutions rather then a quick band aid. The experience is much more pleasant and specialized then going to a GP at a hospital where they may not have time to work with you individually.

First, the Office was very low key, no feeling of waiting room anxiety. Relaxing space. Janice was amazing. I have a long and complicated health history and she was attentive and non-judgemental as we walked through my life history in leaps and bounds. She was supportive and friendly and after 20 years with the same PCP it was very worrisome to have to try and find a new Doctor. After several months I feel that I have now found my new PCP.
