He is very professional and he knows what he is doing.
Great polite and professional Dr.
I was pleased with the doctor's quick diagnosis and gentle manner. My one complaint was working with the admin, the secretary falsely told me that my appointment would not be covered under my plan. I had to ask her to call my insurance company to confirm this and she was wrong. Also, I didnt really appreciate how aggressively the office insisted that I pay with cash bc of the broken credit card machine (get Square for this instance?). I was in a rush and didnt feel like I should be inconvenienced, you all should have been more willing to send me a bill. I am not publishing this on your wall, just letting you know that I will not be back because of this.
Incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and very clear with his explanations. Great experience.
Shorty waiting time and very professional conduct. I would recommend the doctor and his Manhattan office to anyone.
Thank you.Doc... Thank for your assistance . Your availability. .. your service. .. and attention was excellent.
More concerned about payment then the art of healing.
I arrived quite late and they were very accommodating. Dr. Plawner talked through my whole issue and made sure I understood it, which took some time. Definitely above average experience.
This doctor is the worst doctor I have ever seen. He yelled at me and made me cry and withheld my results from me. Terrible.
very nice and professional service
Very nice and generally knowledgeable, but you have to ask questions to get any sort of information.
Dr. Plawner was sensitive, inquisitive, and professional; he came to a prompt decision on my health based on my answers to a variety of questions, and encouraged me to remain in touch to report progress. His receptionist was also lovely, and personable.
I saw Dr. Plawner two times and I was required to wait over an hour each time with no apologies from the staff or Dr. Plawner. I arrived at my first appointment on time and the office wasn't even open. I do not recommend visiting the office in Greenpoint unless you have hours to spare. Make sure to bring a book. Additionally, I didn't feel very comfortable during my visit with the doctor and the facilities were not great compared to other offices I have visited, which only added to my less than stellar experience.
Sent me for a test my insurance doesn't cover, now I'm on the hook for the bill. Pretty awful. Wonder if the doctor gets kickbacks.
My fiancé took the day off to drive 1hour to his office and not only was he rude but only care about the copay .my fiancé wasplanning to get a vasoectomy and he said to wait 30 days which we understood but after the 30 days I called all he's office and His secretary Dorothy keep on telling me suergery will not be for the day it was plan ,but she had no answer why ...really disappointed because am a office mAnager for a podiatrist and our goal is to make patients experience a unique one but in this case it was the worst !!!please stay away from this Doctor all they do is check insurance and if they don't have out of network they won't do your surgery .for those that don't understand when you bill out of network they get paid more and patient are responsibly for a large amount . Call member service before hog go to any doctor to see your option . Good luck
very attentive, caring and thorough. Dr. Plawner was kind and helpful.
While Dr. Plawner himself is professional and personable enough, I am shocked at the level of incompetence shown by Dr. Plawner's administrative staff. The office does not follow up on appointments, referrals, or test results. After three consecutive visits and inconclusive tests for a possible serious condition, I was to be sent for outside tests at Lennox Hill Hospital, which the office would "schedule and follow up on later in the day." A month and several voicemails later, the secretary finally called me back with an appointment. After the test, the results were sent back to the office the next day -- but it still took another month and my own follow up phone call to have them tell me they indeed received my results...to which I had to ask "do you think we should discuss those results?" The last straw for me was their response -- the secretary did not address my complaints and instead asked if I "wanted to come in and see the doctor." This is in regards to a possible serious medical condition that extensive tests were undergone to diagnose. Dr. Plawner himself is a fine urologist, but the administrative staff possesses zero attention to detail, sense of urgency, customer service skills, and is completely irresponsible and unprofessional. Unless you enjoy chasing people down to get them to do their jobs, stay away.
I went to see this doctor, he took my blood and found that my prolactin levels were high. This is an indicator of a brain tumor. He rushed me out of his office and totally avoided dealing with seriousness of the issue. He literally said "you have to go see someone else. It was the most unprofessional response I've ever received from a doctor. Totally avoid him.
He was cool and very professional. I felt like I was talking to a friend. Definitely recommend him anyone!
Just terrible. His main concern is getting himself to the more lucrative Operating Room... outpatient care, you know his actual practice is a side gig, small tatters. Get ready to be bumped from your schedule last minute if even the prospect of an elective surgery presents itself. NOT CONSITENT. Unless your going under the knife you don't matter.
Horrible service and experience. I figured after taking a simple test I would get a call with results or be asked to come in within a few days. It took two week and numerous phone calls on my end to find out anything. Don't waste your time or $ and hopefully not your health.
realmente no pensaba que era un buen medico en su especialidad ;pero me equivoque lo recomiendo gracias jose
the doctor is perfect and have a huge of knowledge and plan each time
Very friendly, and put me at ease when describing my plan of care
He did an excellent job explaining all of my options.
Good and bad. The good: he pays close attention to what you have to say, asks a lot of questions, and answers your questions clearly and completely. These are the most important qualities for a dr to have, in my opinion. The office processes prescriptions electronically, so if you have the address of your pharmacy ready, your meds might be there waiting for you by the time you get there. (note: he takes notes on his computer during the consultation, so don't think he isn't paying attention.) The bad: they called me and pushed back my appt not too long after I booked it online. That should have been a warning sign. I waited 90 min before I was seen. The receptionist was pleasant when I complained, and checked with him to get an ETA, but that it still took forever. I'm also not a fan of offices collecting the co-pay up front (cash only here), but understand that many offices do it. It was just another thing that made the long wait more annoying.
Very professional, helpful, provided excellent service and advice.
Dr. Plawner is an outstanding physician. He took the time to treat me as a person, not just as a number. Dr. Plawner is extremely knowlegable and experienced, which is very important in the field of urology. When you have prostate problems, you really don't want to go down the wrong path given the potential life-changing consequences. I am confident that we will eventually take the best course of action that fits my needs.
The front desk staff called me when I was on my way there to confirm my appointment. When I got there, they told me I needed to wait for 60 minutes. Why did you not tell me that when you called me? I could have done something useful with that time than twirl my thumbs and read old magazines. No thanks. I'll go somewhere else.
Unusual.he opended the door for and knew I had my appointment.very easy to talk to.gave great advise
It was very apparent that Dr. Plawner took no interest in what my problem was. He asked the most basic of questions before telling me there was nothing to be done. He barely listened. I went to another urologist and he was very thorough in asking about my background and the problem and is working on a treatment with me. Dr. Plawner was a waste of time and money.
Dr Plawner is a very professional Doctor he is have a good knowledge and work with plane this is very good think i see in this Doctor, this is my second time visit it and i still recommend it case it is Very Good Doctor.
Dr. Plawner is very professional Doctor and have a good knowledge and know what he do. i recommend this doctor
I've seen Dr. Plawner twice now and I'm sorry but he's a no. I had high hopes for him because he's affiliated with Lennox Hill Hospital and seems to have tons of experience. Unfortunately, he doesn't know why I have the condition that I do and could not care less. To me, if you do not know why a patient is having complications, it's time to consult with other urologists who may have run across the same condition at some point. To complicate matters, I've wasted hours waiting for this guy. Pick someone else.
Friendly doc, takes his time with patients, highly recommended.
He was very knowledgeable, very helpful and kind. I liked him a lot. Great doctor!
Excellent all the way. Absolutely best.
Dr. Plawner was very thorough and his bedside manner was impeccable.
A cool and very attentative Doctor. Really tried to listen and figure out causes for what ever the problems were. I would recommend him .
I have been seeing Dr. Plawner for the past 2 1/2 years. He savd my life when we first met. I had an issue of concern that I felt my neighborhood Dr was not as knowledgeable. I made an appt and was brought in sooner th problem is being addressed quickly and professionally. Dr. Plawner know his stuff, doesn't rush you and listens to you and your concerns. I have no doubt I am in the very best hands.
One of the best Doctors I have ever seen. He spends time with you to listen whats wrong. My experience with other Doctors is they give you 5 minutes, an antibiotic and tell you to get out. Not this guy. He actually gives you time and does a thorough examination and lab tests to find out what is wrong.
Was extremely nice and cordial on my first visit. However wait time was longer than i had anticipated.
Definitely attentive and listens to what your issue is. Was given a trial for a drug I may have to take and I highly recommend him. I did book the appointment through Zocdoc which wasn't scheduled in their system when I arrived.
Excellent doctor. Took the time to explain his findings, very warm demeanor, experienced and professional
Dr. Plawner is a first class doctor. He took a great deal of time and answered all of my questions and concerns. He was personable and warm. I can't say enough good things about him. Highly recommended.
very professional, he takes his time with you and explains everything thoroughly.
He is very good doctor. Full of proffesional.
Very professional, good bedside manner. Helpful and patient. Great find!
