The front desk staff was quick patient and kind throughout my visit. BUT This doctors bedside manner needs major improvement. I was a first time patient and I felt like my needs / concerns weren’t taken seriously. She listened to my chest and noticed my heart rate was high despite me telling her my current trouble with breathing she asked if I rushed to the appointment… at the end of the visit I asked for a note for my job when she passive aggressively told me that she can only give me a note for today and not any other day. I never asked for a note for any other day but the day of my visit.. so I’m not sure why that needed to be said. All in all I will be looking for a different doctor.

Dr. Thampi and all of the front office staff were polite, personable, and professional. I felt comfortable speaking with Dr. Thampi and was confident in her suggestions for my treatment going forward.

She was clearly knowledgeable but it felt a bit robotic and matter-of-fact. I didn't feel her empathy or compassion for my scary medical situation.
I didn't get any real help, she just took down a lot of medical history notes and gave me a referral.

Would not recommend Dr. Thampi at all. Whole appointment was 5 minutes and I got absolutely no help with what I needed. Said cough suppressants were proven to be as useful as placebos and thus would not prescribe even though I haven't slept in 5 weeks. Absolute waste of time.

I had a great experience in the office. I liked that Dr. Thampi asked me about my concerns directly rather than making me report it to the office assistant or writing it on paperwork. She had excellent bedside manner.

I have seen Dr. Thampi twice now and unfortunately left both times feeling unsatisfied and not cared for. During my second follow-up with her, she listened to my breathing for not even 5 seconds - for a pulmonologist this felt like negligence. She said my breathing sounded “clear”, but I countered that and stated that I did not feel clear and was experiencing shortness of breath and wheezing. Despite me stating that I had symptoms, she did not take the time to do another listen to my breathing other than the 5 second cursory examination - she didn’t even ask me to take deep breaths. My visits with Dr. Thampi were very disheartening and I will not be seeing her again.

In a lifetime of difficult encounters with the medical system due to a chronic illness, this was one of the worst. I brought my husband because I was nearly too ill to communicate my symptoms, and afterward he said he's never seen gaslighting like this. When I told the nurse I'd been dealing with a persistent, monthlong fever, she told me the doctor wouldn't want to see me because a fever is "too serious" and "acute." I explained that a monthlong fever is actually part of my chronic asthma and lung infection issues. The doctor agreed to see me, then told me that I "seemed fine" and "had a cold" and that she is here to see real patients with real lung conditions (?). She said I'd need to do a second X-ray and a new lung test to "prove" to her my asthma diagnosis. She said there is "no such thing as allergy induced asthma." I followed up with her about whether she could interpret my X-ray and she said it was too low-res. My second message: no reply.

Below average care. Bedside manner was fine, but no attention to detail or follow up. Might as well have gone to a mid-level / nurse that would actually follow up.
- I gave her a list of medications I was taking and then looked to prescribe me something I was already on (even though she had the list).
- Asked me to take an chest xray and then never followed up on the results. - Said she'd follow up with a referral to a ENT, and never did.

I was so shocked at how nice every single person was that I text my husband in amazement! Most doctors’ offices have staff that can be dismissive or just rude, including the doctor. Not the case AT ALL here! Every single person I interacted with was so genuinely nice that it blew me away!

Not very pleasant, provider seemed generally uninterested, not warm, did the bare minimum and did not really take care in treating my symptoms and didn't take any actions. My cough persisted for 2 weeks until I went to just a regular doctor who gave me some medications and then that drastically helped my cough and I got better in 5 days. Would not visit again.

Terrible experience with the doctor.
The doctor visit was rushed and the doctor seemed uninterested in my issues.
I’m very sick and the doctor sent me to LABcorp for sputum culture test. I spent the entire day going to two different offices where they told me that these tests are NOT done at labcorp and never were. Labcorp informed me that it’s done at doctors office. When I contacted her office through my chart (impossible to call or send an email) I got a response in 2 days saying that they didn’t know about that and that they don’t have the cups for the test. I was told that they placed a rush order. It’s been over 2 weeks and I haven’t heard from the office, meanwhile I’m still sick!
She did not know how to read the CAT scan of my lungs but instead asked me to have the radiology office send her their findings. I can read English myself and was hoping that the pulmonologist would look at the scan herself.
Very unhappy!
