About Dr. Jasmine Harris
Jasmine Harris, MD, completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Maryland, College Park, where she earned a B.S. in Kinesiological Sciences. She went on to receive her Master’s in Physiology from Case Western Reserve University before attending the University of Michigan Medical School, where she discovered her passion for dermatology and later completed her residency at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA.
During her residency, Dr. Harris was actively involved in community outreach and participated in the Diversity and Community Engagement Track, focusing on expanding access to dermatologic care for underserved populations.
She has a special interest in skin conditions affecting skin of color and pigmentary disorders, and is known for her compassionate approach and commitment to culturally competent care.

My appointment was at 2:20. I was called back probably at 2:22. The nurse asked some questions. Doctor came in and asked if I’d ever used prescription topicals or oral meds before. Looked at my face and was like we’re gonna do A & B. No I questions as to my input or anything. She made recommendations tor some OTC options as well. Said she was gonna give me samples, but didn’t. But the entire appointment would’ve lasted 5 minutes if I didn’t have questions or want to show my current regimen. I felt like I was given a one size fits all approach. There was no consideration of my life, habits, questions about skin type (i was however asked if skin was super sensitive). Overall there was little to no inquiry about my skin or concerns. And there was no involving me in the treatment plan.

My initial visit was great. I felt heard, and all of my concerns were addressed during my appointment. However, the follow-up has been extremely disappointing. What is the purpose of seeing a dermatologist and being prescribed medication if you never receive it? I have called and left numerous voicemails, as well as sent messages through the patient portal, and still have not received a response or my prescription. It is frustrating to take the time to seek medical care only to be left without the treatment that was prescribed. While the appointment itself was a positive experience, the lack of communication, professionalism, and follow-through afterward is unacceptable.

Dr. Harris was very pleasant, knowledgeable, and helpful during my appointment. She took the time to address my concerns, and I felt comfortable speaking with her. However, the process after the appointment was somewhat frustrating. I wasn't given clear instructions about where to complete my bloodwork, and the lab order wasn't initially provided. I had to ask multiple times for clarification, and the responses made me feel as though I was expected to already know the process. Better communication and clearer instructions from the office staff would make the overall patient experience much smoother.

Dr. Harris was amazing. I’ve been having concerns with my skin. My skin has been burning . I believe it’s from some allergic reaction. Prior my appointment she looked at my file and reviewed prior doctor notes and took a look at my skin. She provide 4 week treatment plan for me to use. For the first night in awhile my skin was finally not burning. Finally Relief.

I liked how personal she was. Very easy to talk to and you could tell she listened to what you were saying. I also like that she wrote down stuff so it was easier to follow vs me having to remember it (and probably not remembering)

My Dermatologist Dr. Harris is seriously the BEST! She definitely listened and put in gear a plan and resolution to get you back to your best self. I’m very grateful for her. That’s why I left the old dermatologist in Townson because they wouldn’t listen just kept giving shampoo and creams that didn’t work!

I saw Dr. Jasmine Harris for the first time today for a skin rash that had been making me quite anxious. I had previously seen two other providers who weren’t quite sure what it was, so I was incredibly relieved when Dr. Harris was able to diagnose it right away.
