After an honorable discharge, he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology & Social Behavior from the University of California, Irvine, and a Master’s in Nursing from Northern Kentucky University. Jason has worked in mental health for eight years, beginning as a nurse’s aide, then as a registered nurse, before becoming a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. My Passion "I would like to see the end of the negative depiction of mental illness. I want everyone to know that it’s okay to not be okay. We understand that by seeking help, you are taking a huge first step in your personal recovery, and we will do everything we can to help you feel better." Jason has worked exclusively with the forensic population at a state-run psychiatric hospital, where many patients were homeless, had criminal charges, and an extensive history of trauma or abuse.
