I enjoy being a guide. I enjoy bearing witness to individual change and transformation. Since I was a kid, I would daydream (and sometimes stare!) about how and why people did what they did. I continue to be constantly inspired by other’s stories. I am fueled by learning about the differences between people and believe these differences make society function better. I’ve been privileged to work with people from all walks of life and have developed a passion for exploring the multiple identities that truly make up who we are. I want you to feel greater life satisfaction. I want you to live the way you want to live, with more confidence, and less internal criticism. I understand there may be multiple ways to achieve this, and we will strike a mutual balance towards reaching your specific goals. I received my undergraduate degree in psychology at California State University, Northridge and my doctorate degree in clinical psychology at Palo Alto University. My doctoral dissertation discussed how being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis led to positive growth in life. The concept that a diagnosis or a specific problem can create opportunities to grow and improve, still fascinates me. I have worked mostly in community-based clinics exposed to serious mental illness and a lack of resources. I completed my predoctoral and postdoctoral training at Access Institute for Psychological Services. I enjoy group life and the sense of belonging. During my free time, I enjoy cooking, listening to music, and playing my guitar.
