Jaswinderjit Singh, MD, at Jazz Psychiatry, takes a holistic approach to psychiatry, believing that successfully treating a person's disorders involves more than addressing their mental health alone.
Dr. Singh earned his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from Government Medical College Amritsar and completed his Residency in Psychiatry at Creedmoor Psychiatric Center. He is Board-Certified in Psychiatry and Neurology and is a member of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, the American Psychiatric Association, and the New York State Psychiatric Association.
Dr. Singh's treatment plans are unique and individualized according to each patient's needs. He believes that optimal mental health is more than just treating symptoms with medication. Rather, he guides patients on the road to long-lasting overall health by getting to the source of their problems.
Throughout his clinical experience, he has combined conventional treatments with mind-body practices to restore peak mental and physical health.
What should a new client know about working with you?
After requesting an appointment, you will receive a welcome email from our office explaining next steps and/or requesting any missing information. Appointments are not held or billed via ZocDoc and require billing and patient portals to be completed ahead of appointment confirmation by our office.

I never ended up seeing the dr. I rescheduled multiple times because the open time slots for appointments on Zocdoc weren’t true.
You are given a calendly with all different time slots. This Dr. is using Zocdoc just for advertising purposes.

Oddly surprised at how satisfied I was with my visit. I'm used to a quick and direct medicine management appointment with other providers, but this was much more informative and conversational.

The appointment time that I had chosen on Zocdoc was unavailable and had to be rescheduled. During my telehealth appointment the provider took very long pauses in between questions that he asked me, and he was doing something on another monitor throughout the appointment instead of focusing on the conversation with me. I will be seeing another doctor instead.

I have never had a psychiatrist ask me to do a urine test to be drug tested in order to get my meds filled. He also wouldn’t prescribe my medications I’ve been taking for 8+ years unless I had a 2nd appt, which I would be charged for. I have to find another practice cause I don’t want to have to meet and pay once a month just to get my meds prescribed.

Dr Singh is an extremely smart, knowledgeable, and compassionate psychiatrist. He truly listens and understands. He connects on a human level which is very rare and makes him a true gem. After seeing few other therapists and psychiatrists, I was kinda losing faith that therapy would make a big difference in my quality of life, but he proved me wrong. For the past few months, I have been seeing him weekly and I am always looking forward to our sessions.
He also utilizes cutting-edge scientific tools and tests to treat his patients. He does cognitive tests, blood work and even genetic tests to diagnose and also determine which medications is best based on your genetics.
Overall, I absolutely recommend Dr Singh to everyone wholeheartedly.

My first intake appointment with Dr. Singh was amazing. I have had bad experience with psychiatrists being cold, rushed and ready to prescribe medications right away. Dr. Singh likes to get a whole background assessment and start with holistic choices that can be incorporated into ones life before rushing to medication management. Dr. Singh is empathetic, personable, and relatable. I was also nervous to Teleheath and it was surprisingly very nice despite my dog interrupting occasionally. I look forward to having Dr. Singh as part of my treatment team. He is very knowledgeable, respectable, and non-judgemental.

I was extremely impressed by Dr. Singh's knowledge and overall manner in which he approached my care. He was thorough, courteous, and engaging. I felt like I was fully included in my treatment plan.
Dr. Singh takes a wholistic approach including medical management, utilization of supplements to compliment prescriptions, and suggestions for lifestyle modifications that I found to be both helpful and comforting.
