“Dr. Luft is a fantastic physician and extremely knowledgeable, helpful, friendly, caring, and an excellent communicator. He explains things thoroughly without speaking down to his patients. He’s extremely qualified and is well versed in his field. The only thing that I would say wasn’t so great was the wait. I waited over an hour past my appointment to get called back to my room and then almost another hour in the room before seeing the doctor. Even though I waited, when he did see me, he took time with me. I didn’t feel like he rushed through my appointment to try to make up time. I felt like he was thorough and listened to what I was experiencing. I would 100% go back to see him. ”

“I have high praises for Dr. Luft and his assistant. The staff member that I met upon my entrance said that I needed to provide my insurance and id. I told her that I completed it on Zocdoc, but she said it wasn't there, even after I showed her my confirmation of completion, date and time stamped. She didn't accept that and it was frustrating to have to provide the documents again. What's the point of having an electronic system???? Don't blame the computer because I was able to pull it up myself. ”

About Dr. Jay Luft
Dr. Luft is a board-certified otolaryngologist who has been in practice in Delaware since 1988. He completed his undergraduate studies at Cornell University, majoring in electrical engineering and was president of his college fraternity, Kappa Delta Rho. He graduated from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry with distinction and research. He was elected class president during his third and fourth year of medical school. Dr. Luft completed his residency in Otolaryngology- Head and Neck surgery at the University of Pennsylvania.
He has served as section Chief of Otolaryngology of the Christiana Care Health System and also has served as the president of the medical dental staff of the duPont Hospital for Children. He has participated in international missions in Ecuador with Operation Smile and has gone with Healing the Children for over 10 years to Ethiopia caring for children and adults, teaching the ENT residents, and performing surgery.
Dr. Luft enjoys playing music, gardening, beekeeping, and prior to COVID, he enjoyed traveling with his family and culinary adventure. He is a founding member of the Caesar Rodney Rotary Club joining with the club in 1989, helping with local, national, and international service.
Dr Luft sees children and adults, and is on staff at the Christiana Care and St. Francis hospitals
