About Dr. Jay Luft
Dr. Luft is a board-certified otolaryngologist who has been in practice in Delaware since 1988. He completed his undergraduate studies at Cornell University, majoring in electrical engineering and was president of his college fraternity, Kappa Delta Rho. He graduated from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry with distinction and research. He was elected class president during his third and fourth year of medical school. Dr. Luft completed his residency in Otolaryngology- Head and Neck surgery at the University of Pennsylvania.
He has served as section Chief of Otolaryngology of the Christiana Care Health System and also has served as the president of the medical dental staff of the duPont Hospital for Children. He has participated in international missions in Ecuador with Operation Smile and has gone with Healing the Children for over 10 years to Ethiopia caring for children and adults, teaching the ENT residents, and performing surgery.
Dr. Luft enjoys playing music, gardening, beekeeping, and prior to COVID, he enjoyed traveling with his family and culinary adventure. He is a founding member of the Caesar Rodney Rotary Club joining with the club in 1989, helping with local, national, and international service.

Dr. Jay Luft is great. I have been a patient of his for many years and totally recommend him. Although the waiting time was longer than I expected, I’m sure that the reason was that Dr. Luft is very thorough, knowledgeable and takes the time to explain everything, evaluate options and further follow up recommendations. Dr. Luft is an amazing ENT and person. He took my tonsils out when I was 19 after years of being sick and I have been so much healthier since! He took my sons out and same for him. I recently went back for some sinus’ issues and he was so helpful. He is the best
