My husband and I are retired intensive care registered nurses. We have a strong background in healthcare, both military, Walter Reed, and a leading medical school hospital, Stanford University. We've worked in very high tech settings with world renown physicians and researchers.
We moved to Las Cruces, NM recently and were told that good medical care is difficult to find.
Imagine our surprise to become patients of Health Care Solutions and mainly Jay Wedel, PA, and find both staff and Jay the most welcoming, capable, skilled health care partners. I say partners intentionally because that’s what it felt like, rather than the setting where the doctor speaks down to the patient. The setting is not huge and overwhelming, but has a small and friendly atmosphere.
Jay made us comfortable from the beginning showing a real interest in our concerns and addressing those concerns with confidence and the assurance he was there to help us. We felt an immediate partnership and a sense of safety for lack of a better word. He was so easy to talk with and gave us all the time needed. We left with renewed confidence that this move to Las Cruces was going to be good.”

About Jay Wedel
Jay Wedel is a board-certified physician assistant. He practiced in Kansas for 22 years before moving to New Mexico. He earned his bachelor's degree in biology from Goshen College in Indiana in 1992. He received his PA degree from Wichita State University in 1995 and completed his Master's in Physician Assistant Studies at the University of Nebraska School of Medicine in Omaha in 1999. He and his wife Jia live in Las Cruces and are thrilled to be part of this community. With many years of experience, Jay is well liked by his patients and highly respected by his colleagues.

I was contacted 3 days later by the lab tech. She said I needed an Rx. 14 days later the Rx still has not be ordered, and 3 phone calls have not been responded to. I only get into a computer answering block

FINALLY… a medical professional that truly remembers and practices the art of medical AND family care. I have worked in the medical field, military and civilian, for over 30 years and have experienced both the good and not-so-good practitioners. Jay Wedel, PA-C, represents the finest the medical profession has to offer. He is a model medical professional… competent, compassionate and an excellent listener.

Jay Wedel PAC was very professional, and listened to everything I brought up about my past medical history. I would highly recommend him to anyone who wants to be treated with respect from their doctor. He genuinely treats you like you wish to be treated. I’ve seen doctors who only gave you 3 minutes of their time then kicked you out of their office, but Jay Wedel PAC is the exact opposite. I wish I would have seen him years ago.
