Getting to know Dr. Jayme Albin

Hi, I am Dr. Jayme Albin. I know finding the right therapist can be challenging, so I will do my best to help answer any questions you have about my treatment approach. My overall method is to use evidence-based therapy strategies to help each client with symptoms, psychological struggles, relationships, and behavioral changes. My focus includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy), Yoga Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Positive Psychology, and EMDR. I also use tools and technology such as biofeedback and Virtual Reality. These treatments, tools, and strategies are the most effective in helping with anxiety, depression, phobias, trauma, and building better relationship skills. In addition to being an expert in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, I am a yoga instructor—these tools are very effective in treating anxiety, performance problems, stress/workplace burnout, trauma, and body image/weight concerns. I earned my PhD in Clinical Health Psychology from Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University and hold a Master’s degree in Developmental Psychology from Columbia University.

Dr. Jayme is a good listener. She explains concepts and gives helpful feedback in a simplified yet effective manner. Im happy to move forward with her in therapy.
Therapy with Dr. Albin has been incredibly helpful! I’ve been working with her for several months. Her approach has helped me process trauma and anxiety while learning ways to cope that feel different from normal talk therapy. I feel comfortable and supported throughout despite the challenging topics. I have noticed real relief over time, and feel much more grounded. I would definitely recommend Dr. Albin to anyone looking for anxiety and trauma help.
Although I was a bit anxious about seeing a therapist, Dr. Jayme made me feel extremely comfortable from the first moment of our interaction. It was important to me to have someone who listened and not offer any judgment or immediate solutions, rather help me explore my personal challenges and come to my own conclusions. She provided excellent guidance, asked great questions, and probably spent about 80% of the time listening. That meant a lot to me. I look forward to my next session.

Jayme is just brilliant
I cannot recommend Jayme highly enough. From the very first session, I felt understood and supported in a way I hadn’t experienced before. Jayme is exceptionally skilled at creating a safe, non-judgmental environment where I felt comfortable opening up about my struggles. She took the time to listen deeply, demonstrating empathy and patience, and provided thoughtful insights that helped me understand my thoughts and behaviors on a much deeper level. With her guidance, I’ve seen significant improvements in my anxiety and overall outlook on life. Each session feels collaborative, as she genuinely values my input and adjusts our approach based on my feedback and progress. I am incredibly grateful to have found such a compassionate, knowledgeable therapist who genuinely cares about her patients’ well-being. Jayme has been instrumental in my journey toward better mental health, and I wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone seeking a compassionate, effective mental health professional!

Dr. Albin has helped me manage my anxiety and trauma responses for the past few months. She really takes the time to listen to her patients and dissect how/why we feel the way we do. She’s helped me with figuring out ways to help live life with more manageable anxiety.
Dr Jayme is an amazing therapist ! She is extremely professional, knowledgeable and insightful. She has helped me with my PTSD struggles and anxiety attacks. Before coming to her I had insomnia and flashbacks and was avoiding many areas of my life. I tried talk therapy but i felt I was wasting my time with no feedback and ways to cope. Now sleep is better, no more panicking, and my self esteem feels better! I highly recommend!!!
I met with Dr Jayme for several weeks for help with anxiety issues. I found her insightful, warm and helpful. The exercises she shared helped me change my thinking and my work situation has improved. I would highly recommend Dr Jayme!
Was completely unprofessional and did not pay attention. First appointment was fine and promising, but then during the second appointment she paused the session 3 separate times to take 5-minute phone calls from other people. Then by the third appointment she was literally walking around her house doing laundry, barely paying attention, and was in a rush to end the call 16 minutes early.

Jayme was very intuitive and helpful in helping me analyze a particularly serious issue and dissect it - Giving me a more manageable outlook.

I have been seeing Dr Albin now for a little under a year and am so glad I changed therapists. She helps me with my anxiety and also working through a little unresolved trauma from my past. Highly recommend!
Dr. Albin is very intelligent and was able to pinpointed the areas my partner and I need to improve on. She asked the right questions to get a better understanding and actually diligently listens unlike other therapists we have experienced. We are very impressed with her and looking forward to growing both as individuals and as partners with her guidance.

Dr. Albin is great. She’s very intelligent and has a scientific, no BS approach that really gets to the core issues quickly and actively works to resolve them. Highly recommend!

Dr. Albin was kind, informative, and thoughtful throughout my first session. I appreciated how she took what I shared with her and recast the experiences in a way that validated my feelings and also explained more in-depth some reasons for my responses and behaviors. She was a great listener and was patient during moments when I became emotional allowing me time to reset or encouraging words to help me proceed. I am looking forward to working with her in the future and I am excited to learn more about her therapeutic strategies and see how I can apply them in my life.

Dr Jayme really is a tremendous help. She not only hopes you deal with the issue at hand but also teaches you coping skills for future. She is really a gift to the profession and her patients!
Dr Albin is a great therapist. I felt immediately comfortable and understood by her. Cognitive therapy and mindfulness tools are useful I feel my self esteem has returned and I’m not avoiding my problems. Her advice is helpful unlike other therapist who just listen and nod.

Best therapist. Dr Jayme Helped my child year old with school problems. She was refusing to go and nervous during tests. I was concerned about the video visits but she likes it and they use apps to help make it more fun
Dr. Albin is super accommodating, caring, and I’m so happy she’s the first mental health professional I’ve visited because now I look forward to more.
