Our physicians are each a “Board-Certified Physician of the Foot and Ankle”.
Dr. Jeffrey Baker is a podiatrist. He welcomes patients of all ages to Weil Foot & Ankle Institute at two locations in Chicago, IL. He is affiliated with Northwestern Medicine and on staff at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago, IL and Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, IL.
Dr. Baker attended the Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine where he acquired his doctor of podiatric medicine degree. He then completed a 3-year residency in foot and ankle surgery and medicine at St. Mary Hospital in Hoboken, NJ. After this he advanced his training by completing a fellowship in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery at the Weil Foot and Ankle Institute in Des Plaines, IL. He holds board certification in foot surgery and reconstructive rearfoot/ankle surgery from the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery.
Dr. Baker's professional memberships include the Illinois Podiatric Medical Association, the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, and the American Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine. He is a co-podiatry medical team lead for the Bank of America Chicago Marathon. The chair I had to sit on was very dirty and stained. He just had my foot hang off the chair. Cutting off my nail etc should require some sanitizing of the chair, no? He also did not read my chart that I was allergic to Betadine and Iodine. He worked on my toe and sprayed stuff on it and afterwards asked me what my allergies were. When i told him, he goes oh you need to remind me next time i see you. Shouldnt all doctors read the chart before/ during meeting with someone especially if an allergy is listed? His shocked reaction made me nervous.

The Dr Baker and practice were wonderful. The Zoc doc site did not work. The appointment was confirmed by Zoc doc but the office was unaware of the appointment. They accommodated me anyway which was lovely and unexpected given the constraints of not knowing I was coming in as a new patient.

I was extremely impressed with my experience with Dr. Baker. The office was very modern and comfortable. Everyone was in a groove and very efficient, it took no time at all to see Dr. Baker. I was in and out in under an hour which is amazing since I had made the appointment the night before.

Dr Baker seems competent. His manner is brusque, he is not very friendly, and delivers bad news in a very stiff, non-empathetic manner.
He also didn't recommend that I buy new shoes, he more or less directed me to do so. I walked away from the office feeling confused and depressed.
