Adult Psychiatric & Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
NY
I’m Jeffrey Panko, an ANCC board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner providing virtual psychiatric care for adults throughout New York State. I help clients with a wide range of mental health concerns, including ADHD, depression, anxiety, PTSD, OCD, and panic disorder. I specialize in adult ADHD assessment, diagnosis, and medication management. I work with adults of all ages, including young adults who find themselves struggling as they enter college or start their careers. Whether you already have an established ADHD diagnosis and need to continue treatment or you’re seeking an evaluation for the first time, you’re welcome here. As someone with ADHD and depression myself, I understand how mental health challenges can affect your daily life, your relationships, and the way you feel about yourself. Let’s work together to understand what’s going on and develop a plan to improve your quality of life. My approach centers on personalized medication management, often combined with supportive psychotherapy, to improve your symptoms and help you feel more like yourself. Treatment is shaped around your needs, goals, history, and preferences. We’ll consider the full picture, discuss the potential benefits and side effects of your treatment options, and make decisions together. I welcome clients of all gender identities, sexual orientations, races, ethnicities, and religious or cultural backgrounds. I encourage you to be yourself in our sessions, speak openly and honestly, and ask as many questions as you need to feel comfortable with your care. I’ll do my best to meet you where you're at.

What should a new client know about working with you?

You can expect open, down-to-earth conversations, clear explanations, and a provider who listens to you and values your input. Education is an important part of my approach. I want you to leave our sessions with a better understanding of your mental health, why we chose the treatments we chose, and how each part of that plan could help.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I aim to understand more than just the symptoms you're experiencing, I want to know how they affect you, your daily life, and your relationships with the people around you. I want to understand what you're experiencing so together, we can explore what feeling better means to you and what that would look like in your life. Knowing that we can determine what changes would make the biggest difference in your life. That gives us clear goals that are personal to you so we know where to start and what we're working towards.
