Dr. Jeff Trawick is a board-certified family medicine physician who joined Family Practice Center in September 2025. Originally from Bay Minette, Alabama, Dr. Trawick earned his Bachelor of Science degree with concentrations in science, applied mathematics, and computer science from the University of Alabama. He then realized his life-long dream of becoming a physician after completing his Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine’s campus in Suwanee, Georgia. He completed his residency in Family Medicine at Danville Regional Medical Center in Danville, Virginia (now known as Sovah Health). Dr. Trawick has a wealth of varied medical experience, including working as a Nationally Registered Paramedic on ambulances, helicopters, offshore oil platforms, and in industrial settings, including with petroleum companies in Kuwait and on Sakhalin Island, Russia. He has over a decade of experience as a physician, including working as an emergency department physician, in addition to his time working in family medicine. He covers all aspects of adult primary care, but focuses on management of chronic conditions including diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, and thyroid disease. He is able to perform many in-office medical procedures including joint injections, trigger point injections, removal of skin lesions, suturing, and management of ingrown toenails. He is board-certified in Family Medicine by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians. Dr. Trawick has been married for over 40 years, and he and his wife Amy have two adult children, as well as two grandsons. When he’s not in the office working with patients, Dr. Trawick enjoys composing Christian music, woodworking, electronics, computer programming, reading, and enjoying time with his family.
