Happy I went. Would see him again.
He was curt and dismissive and did not take the few minutes needed to address my concerns. His prime concern seemed to be how to get out of the room as quickly as possible.
Super efficient. Apologetic about making me wait so long...and I thought what? Why? I only waited 15 minutes. I felt I was treated promptly and with care. I felt spoiled, not upset or long wait. I only wish all my doctors were so quick.
I had a terrible experience with Dr. Weinberg. First, he showed reluctance to shake with me. Second, when I talked to him about my symptoms, he showed no interest and kept filling in the forms about visit date etc. instead of listening - when I said that I had allergies on my arm and legs, he looked up, pointed at my face and said that "you have it on your face" with no emotion and walked away from the office, with no explanation of why. Third, he scratched my back with a pair of scissors (it hurts, but I could understand if it’s for checking my skin condition) without ANY explanation. I then asked why he scratched me, he said nothing. Fourth, during the whole time of my visit, there is an intern-looking girl standing in the office, staring at me and the doctor – I guessed that she’s a resident at Mount Sinai and can totally understand the need of mentorship – I don’t like people staring at me for no reason, a sentence of explanation would’ve been good. Last but not least, when the doctor told me the diagnosis (real quick), I missed the word and when I asked him to repeat it, he looked at me, said nothing and asked the resident to print out the google webpage of the disease for me (the quality of the print-out was terrible too, the first couple letters in each line got cut out). I mean, how hard it is to open his mouth and explain the situation to me. I deserve the basic respect.
Reassuring, inspires confidence, I can trust him and his recommendations. Remembers his patients and their problems. Simply the best!
Waited over an hour for my appointment - which I scheduled early in the morning to avoid having to sit there forever. Once I got in I was rushed out in less than 3 minutes.
It was ok, Dr. just took 2 minute to see.
Dr. Weinberg is the best dermatologist in NYC!!!!! I have been his patient since 2005 and travel to see him out of the borough because I trust only him and so does my husband.
Staff was helpful and friendly. I only waited 3 minutes to be seen and the doctor was friendly and efficient.
Thevviat was great the foctorvanswered all my questions
He was professional, helpful and answered my questions.
everything was great. except that I spent the time to fill out all the paperwork previously through zocdoc and when i arrived they told me they never received it.
Dr is nice but waiting time is too long.
Long wait time to see the doctor
doctor is kind and professional - though the wait took much longer than expected, plus zocdoc doesn't transfer the reservation info to the clinic.
didn't seem to want to stay in the room with you and answer questions, was in and out the whole time. I was getting a biopsy done and he didn't even explain the procedure, will not recommend.
I always love my visits with Dr. Weinberg. He's knowledgeable, friendly, resourceful and a great listener.
It was great, thanks doctor!!! Very professional!!!
Dr Weinberg was very professional and to the point with diagnosis and treatment.
Didn't make eye contact, didn't ask about my condition , how the medicine was working , didn't seem enthusiastic when he first met me, only refilled my prescription and said goodbye.
I waited over 90 minutes despite having an appointment.
The offices were very clean and had the required amount of staff support needed for the many patients they had.
He was very quick and concise. My appointment occurred about 20 minutes after I got there, but no more than 5 after I finished the paperwork; if I had gotten there early I have no doubt it would have been right on time. He looked at my problem and gave me some prescriptions to try, and told me to come back for eval in 6-8 weeks. However, he also gave me some things to try for problems I did not ask for, which may or may not be to your taste. I ended up with multiple prescriptions over a fairly minor problem, but perhaps he intends to cut them down once we figure out what works best.
Dr. Weinberg is professional and accessible at the same time.
Avoid. Doctor did not take my mom seriously at all. Was very rushed did not listen and made useless conslusion about a placw he has never been too, and without making any tests. I am a doctor myself-- this was utterlly unacceptable.
Listens, explains, and quick to the point. In and out with professional quality.
The doctor was great but there was avery long wait
Dr. Weinberg has a very kind demeanor and is extremely professional and thorough in his examination, discussing in detail diagnosis and treatment along with instructions at home care. I highly recommend him.
Made me feel at ease.
A very nice and personable person! He was very quick though, so left me wondering how carefully he checked everything.
He was very nice and a very amusing and personable man! Can't wait for my next visit in 6-12 weeks!
He made me feel comfortable and at ease. I always go in to see him, nervous about my situation but he really assures you that he can do whatever he can to help you!
Doctor spent a total of three minutes with me. Heard my complaints and and immediately wrote a script. Nice guy, just extremely perfunctory. I know for a fact the next patient was scheduled 5 minutes from the start of my appointment. If you want a doctor who listens to you and gives your issues proper consideration, find someone else. Dr. Weinberg is simply too busy to listen to his patients.
Quick and easy, Dr. Weinberg was very friendly and office was clean and organized.
It was a little to quick. I required a full body review; this seemed rushed. I felt his attitude was a bit too cavalier; it lacked a seriousness that I am used to and expect from an existential field as medicine.
Worth the wait!
Dr Weinberg was friendly, attentive, and made the entire visit completely (and literally) painless - he was also extremely helpful in terms of explaining potential next steps, should there be any.
I saw Dr. Weinberg some years back and when my insurance changed, I slugged through a few dermatologists that were not good. I was thrilled to find Dr. Weinberg downtown and that he took my new insurance! He is honest, bright and medically oriented, meaning he will help you as a doctor should and he approaches things scientifically. If you need an expert in dermatology, Dr. Weinberg is it. Great doctor!
Worked for me!
The waiting area was very crowded, but I didn't have to wait long. Dr. Weinberg was quick with my check-up and took time to answer all of my questions. He also recommended a prescription service that doesn't charge a co-pay.
I recommend not using this physician. He came into the room with 2 medical students without asking me if it was ok until they were in the room. He started asking me questions and doing the exam without even introducing himself- I had to interrupt him to do so. He left to get a sample medication, and left the door wide open while I was half naked in the gown. He gave me a sample prescription with the instruction " I am not sure if this is good, but I haven't heard bad things about it. " Totally unprofessional and disrespectful.
He is pretty nice person and he will answer all of your questions...
He was very professional and knowledgeable and provided me with the necessary information. He was able to answer all of my questions and appeared to be very personable.
he reminds me of a tollbooth collector
The doctor was prompt and professional and took the time to listen to me, including checking whether I had any further questions before ending the consultation.
He was able to diagnose the problem quickly, and was very nice and helpful.
Dr. Weinberg is very professional and has a great staff. He is committed to answering your questions and making sure you get answers when you need them.
The front desk is very unorganized. There is no sign in sheet visible and to ask a question you have to approach the person at the desk. They will not acknowledge you, i guess unless you are an active patient at the office
Friendly, attentive, knowledgeable and personable. Dr. Weinberg is very welcoming and hears you out on different medical concerns. I feel at ease during our appointments and he always has an answer or a resource he can point me to with my best interests in mind. Highly recommended!
Dr. Weinberg is an excellent dermatologist. He is friendly and highly efficient. I highly recommend him!
Front desk staff was "short" (too put it kindly), but Dr. Weinberg was fantastic. Super quick, great bedside manner, and thorough!
He was fast and recommended something right away. Professional but casual and comforting. I would high recommend. Unfortunately, I was a new patient and the receptionist took an hour to review my paper work.
Dr. Weinberg was great super friendly and very concerned and caring. I am very happy I chose him!
When I was escorted into the Examination room ., it was very dirty ! I was asked to sit on a piece of paper on top of Examination chair , that was ripped up and it looked like someone ihad already used it the stainless steel waste bins were filthy ., as well as the floor . The fourth-year medical student, said she was going to ask me some questions before the doctor before Dr. Weinberg came in. I Showed her a spot on on my face that was bothering me, and she she touched it With her hands ! She had no gloves that and she did not use hand sanitizer prior to touching it ! I immediately said what are you doing ?why are you touching me ., you don't have gloves on and you didn't wash your hands !!!she said she used hand sanitizer before walking into the room. I replied "that wasn't good enough since you opened the doors and touched a pen and other things in the office while you've been talking to me!", She was chewing gum with your mouth open ,it was disgusting ! I told her I had a list of of issues that I wanted to talk to Dr. Weinberg about . She told me to tell her my most concerning issues first, because dr. Weinberg May not have enough time to go through all of my issues!!! I was shocked! I then said to her,"so you're telling me that if the doctor doesn't have enough time for me to talk about the few things that are of concern to me,I will have to come back!!!!" That's ridiculous ! Now Onto Dr. Weinberg. TERRIBLE! He is Dismissive, non informative., and lacks any bedside manner ! maybe he spent three minutes with me and couldn't care less what my concerns were . The four-year intern wanted to tell him what my my issues were instead of me I wasn't there for her benefit I was there for mine !!!!!?he literally rushed me and rushed me out . I was like This dr. Stinks! What was his rush I asked myself , as soon fed that there was not was none! I noticed he was on his cell phone texting and giggling! What a disappointing experience !!! My past experiences have been the doctors are there to help you and listen to your concerns he did neither of that ! I would never returned to his office
It was my first doctor's visit since moving to NY, and also since losing my mother to cancer in October. I was very sensitive and frazzled when I came in and Dr. Weinberg was extremely considerate, kind and went the extra mile to make me feel comfortable and provided for. It was a great first experience after having a lot of negative experiences with many other doctors.
Thought it was great. It was quick but thorough. I'll be going back to Dr. Weinberg in future.
My skin rash is gone. Thanks Dr. Weinberg.
Efficient. Clean facility.
Great visit but a long wait
Dr Weinberg was fast, efficient, and polite. Highly recommend
The doctor was quite knowledgeable, nice and to the point and I would recommend him. Only downside is that the visit felt a bit rushed which is the reason for 4 stars on bedside manner. The wait was almost an hour which is less than ideal.
The doctor was great. Prompt, diligent with follow-up and was patient with me while we went over my health concerns. The nurse / assistant was very kind and helpful too.
Dr Weinberg knew exactly what the issue I had was and had a few solid solutions. Was surprised how quick the appointment was but he knew how to fix the issue so good experience all around. He had something against people complaining about their time on accutane so took a star for that. Would recommend, just know he's sensitive to questions about accutane.
The doctor was great, answered all questions, explained everything, and he even made sure while i was there that the prescriptions he prescribed were ones my insurance would cover ( ie. he didn't take a chance that I'd have to call back to have them changed) Told me if i had any questions after i left to call in. Doctor's staff pleasant and helpful, office was clean and no obnoxious tv pounding incessantly at you in the waiting room, very short wait, He'll be the dermatologist I'll recommend to friends and family in the future.
Very quick and painless. Nice guy who makes you feel comfortable.
Professional and friendly
Pros: Dr. Weinberg is affable and professional. He listened patiently to my concerns and took quick and decisive action to treat me. He made me feel like I was being taken care of by an expert. Cons: Dr. Weinberg's office is located in Beth Israel Hospital. It was a crowded and busy waiting room with understaffed receptionists. I had to wait more than 45 minutes before my name was called.
He was professional, offered solutions and didn't give me the whole "stay out of the sun" lecture that I typically dread from the dermatologist! Little to no wait time and everything seemed to run smoothly.
He's a good egg, this doc. Very personable, considerate and listens!
He's very personable! Knows his stuff.
It was great. The wait was a bit long and he diagnosed the issue real quick but he's very understanding and listens well to your problem. It was my first visit, so far so great!
