Getting to know Dr. Jeffrey Winston
Jeffrey L Winston, MD attended medical school at University of Wisconsin where he received his medical degree and completed a 4 year psychiatry residency at UW Health. Currently, he is an adjunct Professor at Mercer University and has enjoyed teaching the next generation to Physician Assistants. Dr. Winston is a Lifetime Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and also actively involved in his local Georgia Psychiatric Association. He has received recognition for his hard work with the Exemplary Psychiatrist Award from the National Alliance for the Mentally ill. As a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, he is board certified in psychiatry and proud to be affiliated with Skyland Trail Treatment Center. Dr. Winston’s clinical orientation is to use his psychiatric skills to integrate novel psychopharmacologic approaches along with compassionate individual, family and group psychotherapy . Moreover, he offers nutritional psychiatric solutions along with lifestyle changes. Dr. Winston looks into all factors surrounding his patients and digs deeper to supply himself with the knowledge he needs to best assist them.
What should a new client know about working with you?
In an effort to get to know my patients, I require all first time consultations to meet at the office in person. I believe in a hands-on approach in behavioral health care. Meeting you, in person, helps you get to know me better and it personalizes your experience.
