Jemaar Graham, DPM, is a double board-certified foot and ankle surgeon in Lakewood Ranch, Florida.
Dr. Graham takes pride in achieving better outcomes by ensuring patient understanding. Whether the best treatment is conservative or the latest surgical technique, taking the time to effectively explain a diagnosis is a central part of the plan of care.
He attended Morehouse College in Georgia, where he studied biology, before earning his Bachelor of Science in biomedical sciences at the University of South Florida. He then earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine at Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine in Ohio. He completed his medical training with a reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgical residency at Central Alabama Veterans Health Care System.
Dr. Graham is originally from Lakeland, Florida. As a podiatrist, he is trained to treat all problems related to the foot and ankle using both surgical and conservative modalities.
Community service is an important part of Dr. Graham’s profession. He recalls a faith-based medical mission to Ghana, West Africa, as a life-shaping event that affirmed his commitment to serve others. Dr. Graham brings his mentorship experience to Sarasota and Manatee Counties. He resides here with his wife and two children. It is difficult getting a quick appointment with a podiatrist so I was pleased that I could schedule one less than 48 hours after contacting the office, at a time that suited me. I think the office is transitioning from a former long established practice into a new one so the check in time at the office was unduly long as the assistant struggled with the software. However the doctor was patient, clearly understood my issues, fixed one and provided prescriptive medicine to cover other concerns discussed at our appointment. Medicare original was accepted and I paid the copay which was reasonable. I would recommend this practice and give it a chance to get going. I will attend my follow up in 2 weeks.

Great doctor & surgeon. Dr Graham did my Achilles tendon reattachment surgery. No pain afterwards, almost no scarring and was the best possible experience when I was super anxious.
I would go back in a minute if I had another problem. I would drive out of my way to have him again as a surgeon if I needed one.

You’re immediately greeted with a smile when you walk in. The wait was less than 5 minutes.
The medical assistant is warm, patient and thorough, but that’s all just the run-up o meeting with Dr. Graham.
He is personable, knowledgeable and asks questions, then listens to your answer.
Check out was again less than 5 minutes, complete with payment and booking the follow up appointment.

I am pleasantly surprised by the friendliness of the staff as well as Dr. Graham! The staff knew the incoming patients by name and greeted them as such.
Dr. Graham is personable, knowledgeable and kind. He took his time explaining my foot/ankle break and the healing process. He gave me options for my treatment and was sure to ask me, as well as my husband, if we had questions.
I left feeling confident that I received the best care available.

Was told I didn’t have an appointment- and blamed the problem on Zocdoc (though the person admitted that someone from the Dr’s office should have called me to confirm).
The person at the desk said she’d check with the Dr. she came back to say that the PA was checking. That was the last communication from the receptionist. I saw her talking to the PA . I overheard the PA asking whether my info was in the system. I could go on, but here’s the bottom line. Nobody saw me, no one spoke to me and finally after 20 minutes of waiting just to find out if I’d be seen - I left
Seems to me, if a practice can’t get the admin part straight- I’m not particularly confident in their getting the care part and the billing part straight
Three hours later and no call/no apology for their screwup

Was impressed they took X-rays of my foot beforehand so the Dr knew what my issues were.
Answered my all my questions and was given several options as to what to do next.
I will feel very comfortable scheduling my surgery with him.
