Jemila has over 23 years of experience in all areas of healthcare, including hospitals, outpatient clinics, and telehealth. She has more than 10 years of experience in mental health, with 3 of those as a Nurse Practitioner. She began her career as a nursing assistant in a hospital, then earned her RN license. Jemila also has experience as a clinician working in a mental health hospital ER, where she assessed patients and provided placement suggestions for the appropriate level of care. Through these extensive experiences, she has honed her mental health care skills and is passionate about aiding patients on their journey of healing.
Jemila earned her Bachelor’s degree from Ferris State University and completed her Master’s in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing at Walden University.

Jemila Ali is remarkable. I had my first apt with her last week and was really nervous and skeptical that she could provide me any help as I was struggling so much. After five minutes of speaking with her, the overwhelming constant anxiety I’d had for weeks was calmed. I very quickly felt safe, heard, cared for and for the first time in a long time- hopeful. I told Jemila that I felt relieved, I believed the plan that we created together for me may actually work.. and only a week into it I can say it has greatly helped me already and I am so hopeful at what my future holds as I know with her and the help of a therapist she recommended, my mental health will only continue to get better in the coming months, which is also bettering my physical health as well as my overall quality of life. I cannot thank Jemila enough and would recommend her to anyone in need of help.
